  1. I'd start by throwing out the taildancer.
  2. What I find amazing is there is an entire generation alive today that wasn't around during the events of 9/11 and there is an entire generation of people who were alive during 9/11 and have now passed. In today's world, with the overload of information combined with the lack of ability to retain such information, I wonder if, in another 40 years, "We will forget" I wonder if they teach about 9/11 in history class. When I was a kid, we were taught about the Revolutionary and Civil wars, WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam eras(when I was born). Does this history still get taught? Do they teach kids about the oil embargo in the 70's and the Ayatollah Khomeini? Do they teach kids about the invasion of Grenada? The Cold war? About Desert Storm? Libya? The rise and fall of Saddam Hussein? Do they still teach in schools that the United States is still the greatest most powerful country on earth? If I had to guess, based on today's culture, I'd say no. Immediately after 9/11, Americans were Americans. Americans cared about their fellow man. What in the hell has happened since then? People don't give a d**n about anybody but themselves.
  3. Well that just makes sense
  4. Ask a woman if a little extra length matters.....
  5. If any of you know someone looking for the ultimate fishing rig, mine is for sale.
  6. Agree. I'd opt for carpet, but what the hell do I know.
  7. My mother has a refrigerator magnet that says give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and you can get rid of him all weekend.
  8. Congrats. I'm down 45lbs since Jan 1st.
  9. I'm more worried about the emoji apocalypse that seems to be happening.
  10. The way my units are set up, I can mark a waypoint while I am idling around with the big motor. Once I share that waypoint with the trolling motor graph, I can get right back to it from the trolling motor. Look at it like this. Let's say there it a 5 ft x 5 ft fish crib sitting in 20 ft of water. You mark it from the console graph with the transducer being located on the transom. When you head back to that waypoint, you would need to fish off the transom of the boat to be above the fish crib. Were you to fish off the bow, in a 20 ft boat, you'd be 20 ft away from the crib.
  11. I have a 20 ft boat. I have 2 graphs, one on the transom and another on the trolling motor. The transom and trolling motor are 20 ft apart. In 100 ft of water, it wouldn't make much of a difference because of the size of the cone. In 15 ft of water, it makes all the difference in the world. Secondly, imaging only works when the boat is under power. If you are anchored, you will not get a good return. 2D does work while sitting still, but to get accurate returns, the chart speed needs to be on its maximum setting. As far as the advantage of having 2 graphs/transducers, I can mark a waypoint on the console graph while I'm idling around. Share it with the bow graph thru ethernet, and have the ability to navigate and stay on the waypoint with the trolling motor rahter than have to find it again with the big motor
  12. I am confused as to how I can talk into a 3"x 5" plastic, glass and metal box that's 1/4" thick and fits in the palm of my hand someone on the other side of the world can hear and respond to my voice and I can send them pictures and messages..... Who cares how it works? It only matters that it does work. I've had an SI transducer strapped to my trolling motor for 7 years. It works. 'Nuff said
  13. Feed that boy a hamburger
  14. There would be no internet or social media if everyone followed the message.
  15. Fords have been made from aluminum for a few years now. My Tundra bed rusted from the bottom up.
  16. My only opinion is Legend has closed up shop. None of the other brands have.
  17. I think a hand full body styles, a hand full of depth ranges, and a hand full of the most common colors is all one needs. Keeping the bait in the strike zone should be the first priority.
  18. Are the worms in their flesh or in their mouths? I'll see worms and what I would call fleas in their mouths during the summertime. I don't keep any fish when the water is above 65*, no matter what the species. I have no issue keeping almost any species of fish when the water is cooler. I like the taste of LM bass. Not a fan of SM bass and I will not keep them simply because I don't like the taste.
  19. This is not true. Ranger Reatta is a helluva boat. Nitro has a ZV19 Sport, which is a great compromise. Triton, Skeeter, and the other players offer a fish and ski platform geared more towards fishing. Lund makes some nice crossover boats as well. These are high dollar boats based on walleye/multi-species platforms. A "family" boat used for fishing is not conducive to fishing.
  20. Windex Multi Surface cleaner and a micro fiber cloth
  21. Agree with @WRB If you do get a fish & ski, get one made by a fishing boat manufacturer, not a ski or pleasure boat manufacturer. A Ranger fish & ski will be a better choice than a Bayliner fish & ski.
