Ya, I experience the same thing with mine. I tried adding a suspend dot on the belly, didn't work. I tried single hooks on both ends, didn't work. I guess it's just the nature of the beast, unless you reel sllooowwww, then it stays upright. Great idea, bad delivery.

Bulldog, do you have a chart or something what PE Go line is to lb weight rating? Like 1.5 go(not sure on the spelling) is comparable to what lb mono test and diameter?

I have the Curado 51E also. I did change out the handle to a longer Curado G handle, since it was the last Curado series with a straight handle. Love my old Curado 51E, don't get much love lately, but after reading this thread, I'll be busting it out some time soon.

Artificial intelligence in a convoluted way? I'm trying to get back to fishing w/o all the electronics except the cell phon, to have a simple fishing experience without all the background noise. Enough with all the distractions. I just want it to be me, the reel, the rod and the lure and eventually the fish. I don't bring my Bluetooth earbuds to go fishing anymore to listen to music.

BFS rods and reels and lures from mfg's, please. Sure would like more options in the U.S. than having to order overseas. And, make them affordable too!

Disregard what I wrote below. I realized you are discussing about the deeper spool, sorry my bad. Tatulatard would probably need to chime in, but you can put less line on whichever shallow spool you want to get. A YouTube poster, Hobie-Wan Kenobie only spools "X" amount of line that is necessary. He does quite a bit of trout stream fishing and he does not need to spool line to the top, since he is casting only so many yards. I think other BFS users do this also, to get max distance from a very low weight lure; which would give the spool a faster spool speed to cast out say a 1g lure.

Ska4fun, can you give me some rods you mentioned similar to a Zodias in CDM, please? I do own the Phenix BFS Classic in 6'8". Real nice BFS bass rod!

For me 1/8oz to 3/8oz lures. Lightest I would cast a lure is a 1/16oz Rapala Countdown Minnow. I really have no reason to be casting a trout magnet or real small lures.

I bought the shallow BFS spool from ebay, but I think aliexpress also sells them do a search for abu garcia black max or revo 4 X.

I like mine. I also got a shallow BFS spool for it. I did have to get a 2nd one though. 1st one started to get geary feeling. The 2nd one so far is smoother.
