What was it we ran into last year Muddy.? Was it BPS Extreme rods of some sort? I know you and I were involved somehow. The model #'s of something didn't match if I remember right. Kind of sad that BPS takes such a cheap shot like this. Just sell whatever it is straight up no gimmicks. Not quite apples to apples but imagine Laborghini putting a ltd edition Diablo out that is a Lambo body on a Ford Focus ???? We can vote with our pocketbooks or complain to BPS

A good deal from a pawn shop may indeed involve a rip off but not necessecarily involving the buyer! I'll take my $129 vs a pawn shop $60. Like I'd trust someone fom a pawn shop saying NIB but that's just me

I've come up with a lot of ideas over the years. Not all of them unique but entrepenurial none the less. I thought about jumping into the video sales market when there was only at most 1 to a large area. We had kids youg, when we wanted to go back to our high school for a game our little ones were board. I thought about developing a charachter to go to HS and minor league ball parks. Then if it would have worked I wold have hired a network of college gymnast types and had multiple charcters running around. This was at a time when only the San Diego Chicken existed! I've thought about auto pickup services right at places of employment for taking peoples cars to dealers and smaller shops. This was at a time when none of that was offered. I've had multiple other very good ones. I think my calling should have been as an idea guy.

I don't know if they have a Psuedo Supreme or not just giving a possible heads up. I know they do or did have a Pflueger Medalist knockoff. It was a completely different color than a PFL ( Dick's was white, PFLueger = silverish ). I'm not even sure what that reel said on it for part# but I doubt it had the same part# as the Pflueger. I also don't know if they cut out features or not just a guess is all. I think recently someone posted of another Dick's branded special. I don't rememer the brand or model. Daiwa Capricorn? ( don't quote me). Point being it just doesn't happen with Pflueger reels. In short look at the pictures on BPS or Pflueger site as a comparison and also check part #'s If you've already bought it and like it then don't worry about it. They make what they call spiral wrapped rods where one of the 2 kinds ( BC or Spinning I forgot I think BC ) where the guides start out as normal but are gradualy positioned around the dia of the rod until at the top they are the opposite that you started with. In reality it turns out to be a very good question. On normal spinning gear it seems that the reel is always meant to face the ground which would make the eyelets face the ground as well. Nothing says you can't use it the other way though as far as I know? The gravity effect ( twisting ) on the spinning reel might be awkward though.

Is it a true Supreme or a Dick's exclusive psuedo Supreme? That can affect the price. I suspect on Dick's exclusives that they cut out some feature(s) to lower the sell price. It doesn't matter anyway if it works good for you and you like it then that's all that counts.

what i've noticed is that different forums have different personalities and, thus, different favorite brands. i participate in another forum that raves about the prodigies (actually, rebadged daiwa tierras). Thanks, Good post people ( including me ) can always learn something new everyday

Well, that didn't last long. It's no longer $75. Boy did that tick me off, hopefully they will go on sale again. I'm not sure what you saw but this is on sale for $79 now only $ difference Also last years Citica's are $89 that is a great buy If I hadn't have just bought a top line Pflueger and a Curado I'd buy a couple. I'd probably be smart to sell both and buy them anyway. P.S. This is the one and only time I've ever seen someone recommend a Cabela's reel on this site. I've seen the rods mentioned fairly often but never a reel. That doesn't automaticly make it bad just food for though

the big problem is I don't have a favorite. That creates baitmonkey issues big time. I've got Pflueger Medalists x 2 Gander Medalist knockoff x 2 Shimano Symetre I like them all. I do favor the Medalist and the President a little but I have no particular reason to do so

The part where we've become a little more civilized since 1776 I feel pretty comfortable that our government is not going try to "overtake" its people I can see the flip side though that it potentialy does deter someone from trying to use their power to become a dictator. If someone seized that much power our Uzzi's are not going to be much of a match for Abram's tanks and all the high tech stuff. some of the over seas countries seem to do very well w/o guns
