  1. Mine showed up today. Really impressed with the weight, especially for a sub $200 rod. I have 2 rods lighter and one the same weight, but there's more than $200 in parts alone in each one of those. I really wish these blanks were available, I'm sure I could build a sub 2.5oz rod the this model. I think there's a typo on the rod specs though. There's no way this rod is rated for 20-lb line
  2. I ordered one from FishUSA this morning. 610 MLXF My first production rod in almost 17 years.
  3. It's from the guys too scared to pick up a "fairy wand"! Lol
  4. Waiting on an email from FishUSA.
  5. Looks like I'll be shaving an inch or so off the foregrip on the spinner so I can rest a finger on the blank.
  6. Here's a 2" acrylic extension I made for a 7' ML/F SCIV Inshore.
  7. Those G2 grips are hollow with only two 1/2" arbors to mount to the blank. They will not provide the structure needed to extend. You need to use another piece of blank to extend your rod and install that grip to the extension.
  8. I'll be ordering the MLXF spinning. If I don't like the seat, I'll change it
  9. Never understood it either. I'm 6' and my rods range from 6'8" to 13'.
  10. It's about the $$$. Good cork is expensive and crappy cork isn't cheap either.
  11. I'll stick with my Shimanos. I have 4 $40 shimanos on my guest rods and they're better than this thing too. The only reason I bought it was for the color. I wanted it for my light green metallic Rodgeeks spybait rod.
  12. I'll have to look when I go home. I haven't touched it in probably 3 or 4 years.
  13. There's a reason every reel in my boat is a Shimano and the only Lew's I own is laying on the bench at home. Don't know what I was thinking when I bought it. I think it was on the rod for 1 trip, then replaced with a 15 year old Sustain
  14. @gar383, I plan on ordering a Complex XR when they become available in April. I'll probably put it on a 69mlxf Point Blank that has yet to be built. If I do that, I need to find a use for the extra Vanquish I'll have laying around. They are only available in 3000 and 4000
  15. @Hollopoint made me get another reel. He really needs to stop sending me pics and links to this stuff. I'll be putting it on a vintage forest pearl metallic SCV 610MLXF with AmTak carbon fiber grips and Torzite guides. It's hard to tell from the pic, but the reel is a very dark green metallic.

  17. Motor bolts through transom. My dealer didn't seal mine properly and that was my water intrusion problem
  18. I'm building myself a vintage 7' MLF SC4 Inshore spinning to throw them and weightless plastics. I have a Daiwa Emeraldas to put on it.
  19. Unless your dealer has the Lunds on order or on the lot, I wouldn't expect to have one in your driveway this year. They aren't taking orders and their 2021 build schedule is full.
  20. Yes they do! I have one SC4 and 3 SC5s and my wife has a SC5 in the MLXF and i have a sc5 76mlxf to build yet
  21. Awww, man. Looks like I'm gonna have to order one of those 610MLXFs. That new blank intrigues me.
  22. I have a small Raymarine mounted under my console with a 3' SS antenna. It works just fine on Erie. I keep the antenna folded down until I need it.
