  1. I have the Mojo spinnerbait, pitchin, crankbait, topwater, and worm/jig and like them all.
  2. Abu Garcia Revo-S. Great for beginners and pros.
  3. DO NOT MIX COLORS. IT WILL END BADLY. Take it from me who has ruined plastics by doing that.
  4. I have a hard time sleeping too, I am second guessing my stradigies and what I have tied on for the morning. It probably doesn't help that I try to get to sleep early the night before either.
  5. Berkley XL or Sensation.
  6. Berkley trans optic is a mono that is low vis to fish high vis to us. Has and one used it? Like, don't like, any feedback would be helpful. I am thinking of putting 25lb test on my pitchin reel and 17 on my worm / jig reel.
  7. I only weigh them if they look close to being a new PB.
  8. 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 lbs. Great looking fish.
  9. Owner #2, #1, or 1/0 wackey hook with weed guard.
  10. You have way too much down time if you are only fishing the months you posted. I live in Jersey, about 5 miles from the Ben Franklin. I start in February and fish till mid to the end of November. You are missing out on some great fishing. Give it a try, but fish slooooow. It will pay off.
  11. I don't want to make this more complicated than it has to be but I am second guessing myself visibility Vs clarity. You have 3 "basic" variations of water clarity. Clear, stained, and dirty. I have always defined the waters clarity by how far down into the water I can see. Please correct me as I may be wrong. Let's assume we are in 10 feet of water. My definition was that in "clear" water you had visibility between the surface down 10 feet, the bottom or close to it. When I say visibility I'm not talking counting fish scales, I talking there's the bottom and there's is a fish next to the log. Stained was from the surface down 5 feet, you can still see fairly good but can't make out if it is a rock or a small stump. Dirty would be classified as the surface, you can't see thru it at all or you can see down only a couple of inches. Is this how you classify the water you fish in?
  12. I think we, or I make things harder than they have to be. I use to bring all my gear with me, and I fish most often from the shore unless fishing a tourney. It was a pain in the neck, back, and everything else. I had sooooo much stuff I never used but lugged around "just in case". Over the winter I solved that problem and the insecurity became a stregnth. I sold nearly all my tackle and started over. I accumulated so much stuff from when I first learned fish. It was overwhelming to make discissions. I now have a much smaller more manageable bag with my "go to lures" and the specific techniques I fish. I think it is actually going to make fishing more enjoyable for me this year. My new philosiphy is keep it simple.
  13. Mann's hardnose frogs.
  14. Save yourself time and the possibiltiy of wasteing $ and but theTT.
  15. A black and blue or black and brown jig or a chart. crank bait (something bright with rattles and a tight wiggle). I would fish the CB very slow and well as let the jig rest a while on the bottom.
  16. Sebile crankster in arora black for a regular CB and a river2sea v-joint in chart shad if I want a CB to suspend or used as a jerk bait.
  17. YouTube has "instructional" (more or less) videos of pros flippin and pitchin. I think there is one from Denny Bruaer. Try searching on youtube, and you will see what I'm talking about.
  18. Abu Garcia Revo-SL.
  19. A cheap pair of needle nose pliers is fine considering when you lose them you wont be out a lot $. I use a cheap pair and when they start to rust I spray some wd-40 on them and throw them in my actual tool box and buy a new pair for fishing. Dont use them for fishing after you have sprayed them with wd-40. I'm sure that it cant be good for the bass, just buy get a new pair.
  20. Is the equipment that you listed what you already have, or what you want to get reviews on?
  21. Yeah you don't want to use a sinking line with a floating lure. Throws off the action. I agree 100%. Even if the floro only throws off the action a tiny bit, bottom line is that the action is off. I think its a big deal. Personally I use braid b/c it floats and has no streach. Mono would be ideal if you dont like braid.
  22. A jig with either a paca, smallie beaver, or sweet beaver trailer. Color depends on the clairty of the water. Brown and black in 40+ degree is what I prefer.
