A mosquito bite only itches for and hour on me . Chiggers now ,they will make me itch for a week . Its maddening . I did not know there was an anti itch cream that works .

I would love to spend a day on the boat with Gerald Swindell . Just watch any video of him fishing shallow . I cannot do what he does but not for the lack of trying . In the Glen video I posted, he touches on the back-hand cast . Cast like your swinging a golf club or baseball bat . I use to struggle with that , then one day it soaked into my thick skull that if I can swing a baseball bat left handed I can back-hand cast too .

Different cast for different situations . Casting left of a fence post is not the same as casting in the crook of a bush .

I save all my soft plastics to melt and make into other baits . Maybe I should collect some coyote scat to make a mold . Call it the Wil e .

The 6 inch Jelly worm has evolved into a finesse bait for me , I like it on a shaky head . The 8 inch I'll use for pitching .

Open water and casting past targets is a different ball game than trolling down a bank and casting at visible targets. I do the old bombs away cast a lot fishing points and other offshore structure .

In a days time about half my cast will be dead on , about 40 per cent will be close and about ten percent will be "Oops" .

Thats great when you can cast pass your target .

I only carry one spinning outfit and have been using it more and more . Thinking about toting along a second one . Been using it for tubes , neds and dropshot .

Take spinnerbaits as an example . Ive been saying that the most important aspect of the lure is not the blades or the color but the weight .Get the weight dialed in to the rod and it will make any angler a better caster immediately . When the rod flexes just enough and unloads properly the roll casts and underhand tosses become effortless and precision casting is the result .

I found some at an Ozark store last year and bought a few packs of black grape .

I save soft plastics for melting down the road . Trash goes in the trash .

Being I possess a never ending supply of used up Dingers I just use the tail half of them . I have threaded skirt material through them creating some sort of bottom dwelling creature . That works well .

Crankbaits are among my top lures and I dont believe I have caught a bass on one this year . They just havent produced and other lures have . It seems to go in cycles for me .
