  1. Not that I am aware of. The ones I have used cover the entire knob and do not come off very easily. Send a message to sponsor Delaware Valley Tackle. He may be aware of an available knob from another brand you can replace it with.
  2. I would just put a sleeve over it. https://www.amazon.com/Non-Slip-Baitcaster-Spinning-Customizable-Baitcasting/dp/B0CF165JLB/ref=sr_1_47?crid=2Z5OD2GU5XJFI&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.pTgnJLz-Y4wQGKrBco7jTYYMeUHG-mLdlqTcWVBKlTmu_ul0J6APO_pdZvc1Ya5XQxGakRoJ4HMxvt-g9_JY2n9qDWd6un0F-Dya5DV9rEkiBwqSoqi6mNr0wp7wTN9cPjOGSP1VQBOkr23J3hij5LhoDwiPsTpPW7CT7hlkaDCzFRB87G0kxfyjI9MbED9sTE7SPVxH1xeS_KMbCKxyN5VYTlu0EDsga_xvxgT14hTFXKPEmnyMa7Z-bC9P_IjU-FpyQvUMPbQIL1NGY97E7Kp6O5PMCl440YA4fsVmSXk.mL9jXvfhbiwM2iAgWeUXDvXdC1Q1zqrGUyvyrFKQ5xU&dib_tag=se&keywords=Spinning+reel+handle+knobs&qid=1744935810&sprefix=spinning+reel+handle+knobs%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-47
  3. I have switched to Sufix 832 Camo for everything. Their 20 lb braid is 6 lb diameter - almost thread like. If a couple of treble hooks banging around don't spook the fish, I don't think braid will either. If it does, I believe it is offset by the increased sensitivity and bite detection plus I rarely break off.
  4. There is an older gentleman in our club that uses Ugly Sticks for all of his moving baits. And he routinely kicks our butts.
  5. My PB came on a Berkley Lightning Rod - a very early model LOL. Over the years I have wanted to try some of the higher end rods but the accountant in me says no way. So I took a Mudhole class and started building my own rods. The first few were built with budget components so the satisfaction was catching something with a rod that I built, not that it performed any better. So then I thought I would build a spinning rod with higher end components - Loomis blank, Fuji Titanium Torzite guides and carbon fiber grips. I bought all of the components on Ebay and saved quite a bit over retail. Long story short, the rod was incredibly light and very sensitive. I thought I had the ultimate rod. Then last month I was in Phoenix and went to The Hook Up Tackle. They had the JDM Daiwa Kage spinning rod and I fell in love with it - for $200. This rod puts my custom build to shame IMHO. So as been said here, there are a lot of quality rods in the sub $200 category that will be excellent performers.
  6. 6 in Magdraft Senko Bladed Jig War Eagle 1/2 oz spinnerbait Pop Max Vision 110 Jr +1 Bellows Gill 3.8 Keitech Hula Grub 7 in Power worm
  7. I have just been using a large eye sewing needle from Michaels.
  8. This fish was caught by a guide customer of Kyle Hall, who himself has three Sharelunkers donated. He and JJ were fishing close together and JJ witnessed it.
  9. A 16.39 was caught this morning on O.H. Ivie on the 6.5" Panorama in Bluegill.
  10. The 6 inch Daingerous line through has worked well for me.
  11. When NFC introduced their version for pre-order for $99, I ordered one. They are not $99 anymore but I really like mine. This was an all-in build with Torzite guides. https://northforkcomposites.com/product/xoskeleton-casting-black/
  12. I don't think they offer a bladed jig yet, but it could be a prototype. The trailer might be a pink Flush 5.2
  13. As my board name implies, I am all in! The only exception is if I am tournament fishing, then it's BFS to get my limit and then the big baits come out!
  14. When I was recovering from shoulder surgery, I bought an Ugly Stick Tiger Elite spinning rod ($80 at the time) and a 4000 size spinning reel for my big baits. I never had an issue except I had to tape my index finger that grabbed the line. The heavy baits were just too much friction on the cast. In fact I still use it for big topwaters and wakes. With the qualty of spinning reels and rod actions available today, I see no reason why you could not do everything.
  15. Years after mine was stolen, I found another East Texas Grass Rake at a garage sale. And the name is very accurate but this was the perfect punching rod before the term was invented.
  16. It has a unique action with the tail design. In addition to the jig n minnow, I really like it as a bladed jig trailer or on a scrounger head.
  17. Straight 832 Camo for a couple of years with zero issues. Full disclosure - I fish mostly East Texas grass lakes.
  18. I have done this using 2 bobber stops on each side. Unless you are power shotting, setting a light wire hook will not be a problem. Now, if you get a biggun', it will slip down, but I tie my weights and do not use the crimp weights.
  19. I will add Copperstate Tackle. I visited them and The Hook Up Tackle while in Phoenix last week. My credit cards are still smoking LOL.
  20. I throw the 4 in Zoom lizard in this color on a light C-Rig. I have often referred to it as my "limit getter".
  21. I am using the Core Tackle Finesse Tush Swimbait Hook in 1/8 oz - 2/0. It adds a nice roll to the bait.
  22. I got one in my Lucky Box and visted The Hook Up Tackle in AZ this past week & grabbed a few more. These are great for fishing grass that's 2 or 3 feet below the surface. I think they will also be the ticket for fishing tree tops/brush piles that are the same depth under the surface.
  23. Nah - they don't eat big baits...
