  1. Where do you find Daiwa rods for 30% off and when? I’m really interested in a steez AGS power pitch but not at $700. From what I was told by Ben at The Hook Up Tackle, Daiwa is planning on discontinuing the steez AGS if it doesn’t sell well at the new price. Whether that’s just him being a salesman or being truthful, I’m not sure. One thing is in his video he says the steez AGS is not worth buying at the new price, which isn’t very salesman like so I’m inclined to believe him when he says they will be discontinued if sales falter.
  2. Thank you! What color are those jigs? I really like them!
  3. Dang. That’s not good. I’ve got a bunch of eco pro tungsten in various weights that I bought probably over a decade ago. I’ve never had any issues but I guess I’ll have to keep an eye out. Is the part that chips up the line something you can see with the naked eye? @GetFishorDieTryin
  4. I wonder if this is going to replace the Steez AGS…
  5. A bit late to the party but what trailer is that?
  6. Someone, I think @WRB-2.0posted a picture of a craw/beaver hybrid bait. Wish I could find it as I’ve forgotten what it was called.
  7. Can I piggyback off of this and ask what line you all use for treble hooked topwaters? Mainly curious whether its braid vs mono.
  8. @GetFishorDieTryin
  9. Where are you all finding the grass piece in stock?
  10. That’s from two people who own the new x series have told me. And no, I don’t want someone to assure me that if I buy the okuma it will be as good as a steez or NRX. I’m not the one who started this thread. I was simply recommending the OP do some research about the Okuma x series based on what some owners have told me.
  11. I’m jealous. Every time I look they’re out of stock!
  12. You guys would still go with the steez now that it costs $700? Surprised no one has mentioned the Okuma x series. I’ve heard from a few people they blow exprides and champion extremes out of the water as far as sensitivity. Someone told me they’re basically right there with the NRX+.
  13. When you say eco do you mean eco pro?
  14. Jeez. This thread just reminded me I haven’t fished a crankbait (other than lipless and wakebaits) in several years. There’s just too much vegetation here.
  15. I’ve been using eco pro tungsten. I like it because it doesn’t have a plastic insert. So far I haven’t had any issues.
  16. Well it’s official. Prices at retailers have gone up to the new prices. 😔
  17. Thank you!
  18. Yeah I’ve seen Glenn’s video. I’m more interested in underwater footage in a larger body of water comparing both rigs.
  19. I wonder if they’re doing this sale because they don’t expect to be able to sell many of those rods once the price increases.
  20. Just my luck the model I want, the 7’2 heavy power pitch is out of stock. Price increase happens on Tuesday. Maybe a miracle will happen and they’ll restock on Monday? 😂 yeah I think not. My understanding from speaking to Ben from the video I posted is that Daiwa intends on discontinuing any items that don’t sell well. Slight chance that’s just him being a salesman but given the fact that in the video he says the Steez AGS rod isn’t worth buying at $700 I tend to think he’s telling the truth.
  21. I’d still love to see underwater footage of a free rig and an unpegged Texas rig to see the difference. Preferably not in a tank and actually on a decent length of line.
  22. It’s also about baits and lines, but ok.
  23. Really? I use tatsu for everything including 25lb for flipping jigs/Trigs. Should I be using something else?
  24. What do you all throw the 5” on as far as power and action?
