  1. I prefer the Confidence rig. Its easy to make and easy to cast. Corn is my bait of choice.
  2. Sounds like he might be ashamed of his actions towards a friend.
  3. My motto has always been "Forgive but don't forget". Sounds like your friend has a problem. Pushing him to get help may pay off more than getting justice. There are many good places and programs that will help your friend but many are voluntary. Talk to him. Your stolen gear is minor compared to the hell he is going through.
  4. Here in PA we have our invasive species drama. Its called the Spotted Lantern Fly. This evil little bugger will bore into your head and rewire your brain synapses to fire on the same sequences as the spark plug firing order on a 1975 Ford Pinto. And if that ain't enough, it will dial up your friends and family impersonating you and tell them that you won the lottery and ain't sharing any of it. Insidious little devil. Hide the children if you see this monster anywhere near you.

    That's just funny right there.
  6. Don't forget the grubs.
  7. I throw them in areas where I can get snagged easily. The fact that they float helps when they get stuck on a limb or rock. There are times when all you have to do once its stuck is wait and the bait will float to the surface.
  8. Hmmm....how about a reintroduction of the Florida panther. At least you wouldn't be too concerned with all the iguanas while you are running from the panthers. ?
  9. That is definitely a hawg. Congrats.
  10. Congrats to Mark Daniels Jr. He put on an amazing show.
  11. Only got Edwin Evers fishing on the last day. More terrible picks for me.
  12. The fact that the other boat driver says he never saw you would worry me. I don't know all the facts but I'm glad all parties involved were ok. I would talk to the boat drivers and find out exactly what went wrong so that it becomes a lesson rather than just a mistake.
  13. Sorry to hear about your BIL but I'm glad he is doing better. I'll send out a prayer for his continued recovery. That frog fish is massive. Congrats on the new PB.
  14. I had and dropped both Bertrand and Fukae as my picks. Overthought it too much.
  15. I'd be more concerned with the fact that its 20 feet long. As far as a center console, I see plenty of people with cc's fishing on the river. Most aren't 20' but run 16' to 18' with a jet. The front deck should be very roomy even with the console because of the size of the boat.
  16. A turkey buzzard soaring along the cliffs at Susquehannock State Park. Below is the Conowingo Dam.
  17. Just speculation but I heard The Banjo Minnow is making a comeback only its going to be three times as expensive and with more banjo. ?
  18. Welcome to the forum. There are many people here who will gladly share any information they have about fishing stained water. All you have to do is ask. Also its always good to have another Pennsylvanian on the forum.
  19. An overwhelming majority of people did. Myself included ?
  20. Bass are bass. They will hit it. Predators think only about the opportunity to feed. Not what they are feeding on. Think about how wolves will attack a wounded animal even if that animal is not found naturally in there area. The only reason Savage Gear makes it look like a snake is to attract us, the customer. My opinion, the bait is perfect for florida bass fishermen and women.
  21. I even used it successfully this year (I know I said I wouldn't buy it after the whopper plopper fiasco). It does indeed catch fish.
  22. A classic 10.
  23. Nothing beats watching the glint of a willow leaf blade coming through clear water and seeing it go sideways. That's what life is all about. Congrat on the bass, now go out and catch a few dozen more with that hawgsnatcher.
  24. They can't have mine. I'm still using it. It's a cruel, cruel summer. Leaving me here on my own.
  25. I must be lucky. Accidents like that rarely happen to me.
