Use the jig to target shoreline cover, and then swith to the spinnerbait to fan cast open areas.

Compact, palmable baitcasting reels
13 fishing's concept series frame palms best in my lineup. More comfy than my tat 80 or steez sv tw.

Tatula 80 and 70SV?
Tat 70 and Alphas would be comparable, with the alphas having a free-floating spool. Tat 80 is a diffrrent animal that can utilize heavier line and larger baits.

Ever catch a fish with someone else's lure still attached?
I caught a bass about 20 years ago that had a rusty hook sticking halfway out his b-hole. I was astonished. I'd read a bass could pass a hook, but I really didn't believe it.

Fishing Shirts
Sams club has had several fishing shirt dispays this summer with a couple nice button up shirts. Haven't been in a few weeks, but if you go there anyway...might look around for them.

Show off your Stuff
Nice. I thought those TD-S, X, snd Z looked futuristic at the time. I like my '16-'19 Zillions and will be showing them off in 20 years when they will be cool again ?

High end rod help
The 873 is the one you want. 893 is a nice rod, but lacks power for an all around jig/creature rod.

Favorite Lure company and why
If Zoom still had the WEC balsa line, I'd say Zoom. They don't, so I'd go Berkley.

Color test - Blue vs Purple
Good stuff- I like anglers doing random tests. I've done a few myself. I don't own any blue saphire plastics...or old purple for that matter. I need to remember that fish can only distinguish red and green colors, so blue saphire probably looks similar to a smoke color to a bass. I think flake is key with blue saphire, smoke, or any light transparent color.

The Quickest Trucks Car and Driver has Ever Tested
Interesting. There may be faster trucks nowdays, but those Cyclone/Typhoons could be made very quick with little money . https://www.caranddriver.com/features/g23603018/quickest-pickup-trucks-ever-tested/?utm_source=facebook_dda&utm_medium=cpm&utm_campaign=dda_fb_cd_m_i_u_g23603018&fbclid=IwAR3tAQriKilSem_sPnhhyXX1cUO07GAFjvud2uDwp3-4pRSIlrMOVEzQf4Y

Which reels of today will be valued in the future?
I think reels become desirable for a few diffetent reasons- durability, rareness/limited editions, undesired changes to current model, and cosmetic. Current contenders IMO are the '19 Scorpion mgl (cosmetic...great burgundy/gray paint), Antares 70 (they might screw it up in the future by trying to lighten it up), Metanium shallow edition (may not last in the lineup) and Daiwa Steez limited (only because it's limited)

Which reels of today will be valued in the future?
I was just browsing ebay, and ran across a scuffed up TD Zillion for $230. Which of today's reels will be sought after in the future?

Old baits from the 80s and 90s
The sluggo knockoff with a chamber for a rattle was named the 'chatterbox'. Chatterbait is a diffetent bait.

Golden Shiner Flippen Tube
ISG intimidator tube. Check out the 'dream tube' by ISG as well. I think the dream tube gets an extra dip in the plastic, but both are fantastic. https://www.ebait.com/ISG/product/int4tube.html ISG Intimidator tube in 'Erie green'

Choosing big summer worms when fishing deep?
Are the 8" mag twisters fat? It would explain why they are $8 a 10pk.

Show off your Stuff
Nice. I plan on ordering at least 2 more tat 80's at the going rate. Excellent performing reels.

The latest sale thread
I was going to say something about their Zoom listings and how you need to enlarge the picture to see what color it is. Why they don't list Zoom's name for the color is beyond me. A few colors are always a surprise because I can't tell exactly what color from the pic. Regardless, I scored 31 bags of Zoom for $96

Academy has 20% off sitewide (25% when you use your Academy card). I know about the exclusions, and use these flash sales to buy baits. They still have old pricing on a lot of Zoom baits....was able to score 6 colors of trickworms for $3 a bag after discount. https://www.academy.com/?trk_msg=KU5UBFC5MT04L86E58DJTN9D7G&trk_contact=6EVVIOC0QQ0SKCNPN72OFPQAGC&trk_sid=BUL7GCSL370O79KOG8CV0DJUA8&trk_link=EDNQ15A4787418FK136OP1NF6K&ogmap=EM|AdHoc_Sale||||||2023_810_Extended&ogemid=a638cbccc44403a5351f35e601765cc73d7a6ce8f3178e444246878385ca1a6c&custID=&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Star-Extended&utm_campaign=2023_810_Extended&utm_content=AdHoc_Sale
