  1. I think Scheels may have them on their up coming sale on 4-26. If they do I’m going to grab some. I like the divider system.
  2. So Talon is about 100 yards down the street from NFC Edge. I’ll have to drop by. I still like the Xtreme 745.
  3. Crankbaits Spinnerbaits Jigs There is something about the bite or strike on these three that is addictive. The load up on crankbaits is provides that brief moment of not knowing how big the fish is. Then they give it away, generally with a head shake. Running a spinnerbait shallow and having smallmouth destroy it is crazy. The “kadunk” of a jig strike is as unique a strike as it gets. It’s like a gut punch. This is why I dropped fishing for other species and chose to focus on bass.
  4. I’m kind of surprised no one is mentioning a 4.8 Keitech on an Owner Flashy Swimmer hook. I’m using it more than ever.
  5. Had dinner at my oldest daughter’s home tonight. She had friends come over. One of the children went over, took the TV remote and turned it on, searched the features and selected the Disney channel, proceeded to g through the movie selection and stopped on one and selected play. She climbed on the couch and enjoyed her movie program. She is 18 months old.
  6. The infamous North American Pike Minnow. The only fish I’ve known to get all six hooks on a crankbait lodged in its mouth. They stink so bad crayfish won’t eat them.
  7. The days of talcum powder are long gone.
  8. A Rig!!!!! I’d rather watch professional bowling than fish one.
  9. Limit yourself is not in my vocabulary. If you fish on body of water you can come close. Super Spook Okie Shad Choppo in Bone Teckel Sprinker Bone 1/2 Spinnerbait w. 10. Beat me to it! Sieberts Compact.
  11. The baby Z Craw by Zoom.
  12. Lamiglas SR705R. “ It’s the bomb.” Thanks Kent!
  13. Where’s the Raid???
  14. I just went to the county animal shelter and adopted an ant eater. Problem solved. They are really good with children.
  15. My man! Someone who likes hostas.
  16. Daiwa Fuego LT 3000. 108 for the rod and 67 for the reel. Pretty reasonable.
  17. A special reintroduction by Lucky Craft. They should be really good on the CR.
  18. I just recently picked up this model. The grip has changed from the style pictured. Some good news is Edge is catching up on orders and the wait should be less. If you want to see the new grip let me know.
  19. I’m going to focus on your question. Large treble hook baits. If you are talking about 1 oz 2X strong hooks, and you want to stay in the Dobyns line, a 5 power with the most moderate action would be my preference. That would be the Sierra 735C. In Dobyns speak, 4 is medium heavy, 5 is heavy and 6 is a mag heavy. Be aware Dobyns CB powers don’t equate to the regular blanks. Good luck.
  20. I wish I had some tricks but I don’t. I do like to pitch lures that aren’t viewed as flippin/pitchin lures. I like to run an area with a jig or creature bait like most everyone does. But I have no problem running it again with 5 inch grub and a light sinker or even an unweighted Senko. It’s amazing how a lure doesn’t have to get to the bottom in cover. Bass will come up and eat it. If that’s a trick, it’s my trick.
