  1. I smoked lightly in my early 20’s. Mostly pipe and cigars. A carton of Winstons was 2.47. My dad died at 70 and he and my mom smoked two packs of Camels or Lucky Strike. My grandfather smoked for 70 years but as an Englishman he didn’t inhale. I quit smoking and drinking alcohol at 29 because I didn’t want to be a negative role model. Yes, both my boys smoke and one is a recovering alcoholic. I tried.
  2. Thank you for the suggestions. I went with a Cat Walk, Crush Dogma, two Lucky Craft Sammy 105’s and a Sexy Dawg. I’m confident these will meet the conditions I’ll be seeing the remainder of the year.
  3. That media release was a breath of fresh air. A successful family owned business rebounding from adversity to remain a bass fishing icon. That’s what I’m talking about!
  4. I have a Black Dog Lunker Punker.
  5. Do you mean you’re a Hillbilly? Yes I am, by way of Calgary Alberta. We lived on South Hill.?
  6. Okay you guys that are hard core top water Dawg walkers. My top water box is the least stocked. I have some Spooks and Super Spooks and a couple Sammy 85 series. I’m open to some other options. I’ll be fishing clear water and predominately for smallmouth.
  7. You picked a good reel Chris. Back reeling is no longer used much as the drag systems on spinning reels have improved tremendously. Some manufactures are removing the feature altogether.
  8. Andy Morgan Chick Magnet. That makes sense though. It’s a crankbait.
  9. Bang for the buck can mean VALUE. Getting performance, longevity, durability and serviceability at a lower cost than comparable constitutes value. The Fuego CT is a great value reel .
  10. I like crankbaits.
  11. It’s all about the cash.
  12. It’s Ned time right now. If you haven’t checked out the Morel Jig Head by Siebert Outdoors, you’re missing out. This is my go to Ned jig. Balanced, awesome hook and keeper, great paint with clean eyes and affordable. Mike sells bulk 25 count bags. Made in the USA. Mike does it right!
  13. The best place to start is at the beginning. Some things are like beating your head against a brick wall........it feels good when you stop.
  14. Pop Max Splash Back 70 and 90
  15. 6th Sense has been berry berry good to me.
  16. I had one when I turned 65. I asked to watch the monitor so I could follow the procedure. Toward the final stage of the procedure I saw something that looked odd and asked the doctor what I was observing. He said nothing to be concerned about, it was just my tonsils.
  17. Spence Scout Dancin Eel
  18. That model is a good solid stable platform with a nice ride. Also check the steering cables. Sounds promising!
  19. I can tell you one thing Joe, I don’t spend enough time.
  20. The national TBF High School SAF tournament was held at Lake Hartell about two weeks ago. My local club sent a team who won the Washington State title. On the first day, I was told 467 boats containing two team members and their coach hit the lake in stages. I also was told this was the largest event boat and angler wise ever held. This was an experience of a life time for our boys and I’m sure, every angler. Local communities and chamber of commerce coordination made this event a logistical success and set the tone for bigger things to come Our club is sending two more boys to the BASS High School national event later this month the Chickamagua as the Bell twins represent Washington State in that series. Bass fishing has a bright future from what I’m seeing at this level. Great stuff.
  21. A fish one trailer on my spinnerbait anymore, Strike King Blade Minnow.
