Southeast/Southcentral Oklahoma
Tulsa is as close as I can get. When I decide to go South for a fishing trip I head for Lake Fork.

Living as a refugee in Nashville
CJ, welcome to the club. An ice storm has to be seen and experienced to understand the awesome damage that can occur. On the flip side of the coin is the amazing beauty of ice covering flowers shrubs and tree branches.

Can't think of a proper titile for this
Gary told me on our last fishing trip that he has always had a fascination with exploding toilets. It all started when he flushed a lit cherry bomb down the school toilet when he was in the sixth grade. He's been a toilet ghoul since then. ;D ;D ;D

An Old Legend
I told that one to my wife of thirty-eight years. All I received in response was a very ugly glare. I should have learned by now. :

Almost at the breaking point...
Fishfordollars, the IRS may not be able to trace you from your post, but I can. Send me $10,000 immediately or I'll report you to the IRS for tax fraud.

Tilt/Trim Question
I have no experience with this, but if your boat will get on plane with the existing motor, then the physics would still apply when adjusting the trim. However, improvement in speed may be marginal. In truth, I just don't know.

Hot spots maps
I have the Hot Spots Maps and also the Navionics Hot Maps DVD with the high resolution map of the lake. I haven't fished the lake yet, so I am unable to say which map is better. As of this moment, I prefer the Hot Spots map, but the Navionics map shows one really neat piece of structure that the other does not. I haven't ordered the map yet, but Atlantic Mapping offers amazing information on the lakes they choose to survey. www.atlanticmapping.com

Parking Boats in backyard
My boat sets in my driveway in plain view. Naturally, it has the hitch lock and a full cover. It also has a motion light that looks over it and an on-board burglar alarm. The alarm has its own motion sensor. If the boat is moved off its jack, the alarm sounds.

I know you heard what you think I said, but what you heard is not what I said.- 4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
BS aside, I will be towing my boat down to KY. I drive a Suburban, so my boat and truck will have plenty of room. If any of you folks who are flying in need a "care" package (cough, cough) just let me know.- Who else does this?
I've done it many times, but Coke was sold in bottles back then, and one could watch the volcano effect when the peanuts went in. I'll bet it's been forty-five years since I last tried it.- Going fishing this afternoon. Need help
RW, if I'm not mistaken, members are encouraged to state their opinions when visiting this site, provided they are not religious or political in nature, and provided they are not overtly commercial. Why is it that everyone states their opinion about rods, reels, line, lures, etc. on all of this site's boards, but one is not allowed to post an opinion on this particular thread?- THE ORIGINAL MUDDY VS THE TROLLING MOTOR STORY
I had the dubious privilege of taking both Ron and Muddy out with me separately after that famous day. They both became confident at running the trolling motor, but for some strange reason they both preferred to hold the foot pedal in their laps. ;D ;D ;D- Any engineers on here?
So, what type of Engineering do you want to specialize in? Do you want to drive a train (railroad), or a garbage truck (sanitation), or clean houses (domestic), or maintain office suites (building)? On the other hand you could choose from one of the scientific disciplines, such as: Civil Electrical Structrual Mechanical Electronics Petroleum Chemical Software Etc. So, what sort of advice do you need, and from which of the professions do you need it? What I am suggesting is that your question is much too broad for any response to be of much use to you. Secondly, this is a bass fishing forum. I doubt that engineers tend to hang out here.- How far can bass see?
Buck Perry proved conclusively that bass see much better when wearing their contacts. He also proved that bass prefer to wear smoke colored lenses on sunny days and amber colored lenses on cloudy days.- BULLETIN; THEY FOUND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE HUDSON JET CRASH
It it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a terrorist. Shoot it! ;D ;D ;D- Nightmare about BassResource.com; just woke up in a cold sweat
I misspelled my street name? It's kinda hard to misspell 56. That WAS a nightmare.- I wanted a nice lazy Sunday
Burley, don't try to BS us. That photo is part of a Bong, isn't it?- bass intelligence revisited. where would YOU fish?
Muddy, ya dumb Mook! You're not going to catch a thing until ice-out.- bass intelligence revisited. where would YOU fish?
Only an idiot would choose Lake #2.
