  1. How much is riding on this bet? For 10% I'll tell you the answer
  2. No offense intended here but why were you on TW looking at them after watching KVD use one? Lol Im not afraid to admit I've made a few purchased based on lures seen on fishing shows
  3. I swim all of my jigs no matter what shape the head is I use the swimjig head when I'm fishing vegetation.
  4. Do a quick checklist before you leave the house Always tell someone where your going Keep toilet paper in the boat Vaseline will make pedestal seats stop squeaking and won't make a mess
  5. Kind of. Not so much for hardbaits as I keep them all together based on what they are and I know which ones are special. For plastics I separate them into 2 different tackle bags. One bag is for top producers and another bag filled to the brim with the extra not as often reached for baits. I do this mainly to help save time when changing plastics. I prefer to leave them in the original package so keeping only all the go to's in a bag by themselves makes finding easier.
  6. Berkley offers a "digger" crank and also the "dredger" line. The diggers have a steep bill angle while the dredgers have weighted bills. There are 2 threads that a member named scaleface gave a pretty good review on the new dredger line.
  7. Are you asking when the the world championship will be on outdoor channel? If so I have no idea since it will be a rerun. If your asking when will the outdoor channel show new episodes again, should be at the start of next season, don't know a date yet
  8. Could be a rigging or hardware problem but if you don't think you set he hook hard enough then you probably didn't. When you get bit on a plastic or really any single hook bait reel up all the slack and turn their head
  9. I will always try to plan an "escape route" but you gotta get bit before that matters which often means throwing into some nasty stuff. If there is a better angle or cast I will try to go that way and if all possible try not to have to bring a fish over anything above the water because who knows when you will hook your next big girl and it makes me sick to lose a good one but that's fishing.
  10. First thing that comes to mind was a last minute trip to the river after buying my last boat. Ended up running into a family broken down on there pontoon boat. Me and the wife pulled them back to the ramp while a storm blew up out of nowhere. As I was helping them line the pontoon onto their trailer knee deep in the water with lightning popping all around. It was not cool and while looking back I would still help them I hope I never have to do that again.
  11. Nothing wrong with the jig your using. Normally if I'm working through thick wood cover I'm not very far away so I can work the jig up instead of horizontal like if i was far away. If you feel the jig hanging up don't pull, just give it a shake and let it down then pull it over the branch/stump
  12. Try that same setup with a SK caffeine shad, i used to throw a lot of flukes until I found the caffiene shads.
  13. I've never used this setup but its always great when you try to make something better and it actually works. Thanks for sharing
  14. There are pro's and con's both ways. The con being if you don't get a good hook set you may not penetrate, but the pro is that when I see a bass hooked in the roof of the mouth I'm not too worried about the hook coming back out
  15. Bought a pack a while back. I can't say for sure yet as I only used them for one outing but every fish I caught( 5 or 6) were hooked in the top of the mouth. Right in the hard stuff. Could of been a fluke or it could be from the design, I can't say for sure until I use them again
  16. if the bearing went out on one side I would replace the other side versus just re-packing them with grease. wont cost anymore in labor and new grease bearings aren't that high
  17. For me any weighted bait(jigs, t-rig) normally gets hit after the initial fall and I begin to move it. For weightless presentations its the opposite. My theory on this is that when I'm fishing these bottom rigs the fish are not very active. Otherwise I'm using a more parralell retrieve( spinner bait, swim jig, crank bait, top water)
  18. 12# mono. . . just strip and respool. mono is cheap
  19. Just curious but is this a coincidence or is there a reason this reel is chosen for skipping?
  20. the answer will probably always be some form of plastic worm for me for numbers. this year its the florida rigged ultravibe worm, followed by a wacky trick worm big fish goes to the jig
  21. Born and raised in Florida but I won't deny your comment lol
  22. That's a tank man and I like the gator hat too. As far as the pics go I heard it from jbab awhile back. Glad it worked
