  1. Awesome catch! Nothing like fishing a pond with little pressure.
  2. Revo Inshore is an awesome reel for the money. I picked up one on Ebay brand new for $160 shipped. Modded it with a Bassart handle and knobs to match my Dobyns 795 Swimbait rod and the two were seemingly made for each other.
  3. Wow Raul - you are a virtual JDM encyclopedia.
  4. For the same price you get a Zillion with none of this to worry about. Yup.
  5. And there 's where I 'm more than qualified. If you can pick a dog the way you pick a restaurant, I would happily agree my friend.
  6. Brian, Get your hands on a Pixy and you wont be dissapointed. You'll pay a little more but I guarantee it will become one of your favorite reels.
  7. Thanks for the compliments guys, this rod feels fantastic, cant wait to load it up Saturday!
  8. I'm sure you can lucky sometimes and find a good dog at a rescue center. However luck is a variable I prefer to minimize, so I'll be looking for a breeder with history instead.
  9. Cool video, thanks for sharing that!
  10. Wow. These guys at Megabass are nuts. The rods they put together are nothing short of works of art. This Shihru is no exception. I can't wait to break it in this weekend! Spiral wrapped fiberglass rod with the most incredible details. The reel is no slouch either, Calcutta DC with a drag upgrade and incoming Bassart carbon 90mm handle. That should be here by Friday. I'm going to spool it with 12lb flouro and use it primarily with 1/2 oz crankbaits.
  11. Now I know to keep my distance from those buggers.
  12. A Ranger boat and a H2 to tow it. Yup. Cars do nothing for me now. I get more excited over modding a reel now.
  13. No kidding Burlmeister. That looks good.
  14. Yeah, Vizsla's are beautiful. Maybe I should consider getting two for that reason.
  15. Larry Dhalberg. Venezuela. Golden Dorado on the Uruguay River. Flip Pallot. Florida. Tarpon, snook and jacks deep in the Everglades.
  16. How cool is that buddy? Can't wait to see the episode.
  17. The red Zillion will be limited edition, and they are also coming out with a 4.9/1 Zillion as well. The US version of the JDM "Crazy Cranker"
  18. Raul, Hmmm, you may be onto something there. Gidget likes what she sees too - your pictures dont come up for some reason though.
  19. Maui Jims are hard to beat. I have a couple pair. Here's a good page on polarized glasses - http://www.polarization.com/water/water.html
  20. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Labs are great, but probably a little bigger than what I want to have inside the house. Also their hair is a little on the longer side, no? How bad do they shed? Anyone here have any experience with the Vizsla?
  21. Any help from my bro's here would be great. These are the charachteristics I'm looking for, so feel free to chime in. Small to medium size. Short hair. I don't like hairy dogs. I prefer dogs that are of athletic build. I've had a Vizsla and a German Short Hair in the past, been happy with both. Considering but not limited to: Vizsla German Short Hair Doberman (smaller one, not a Miniature Pinscher though) Terrier (like Scott's!) Is that a Jack Russel? I suppose a dog that isn't so hyper would be preferable, and any one of the dogs that I've mentioned usually are. This is where the breeding would come into play I imagine. Any other suggestions guys? Know any top tier breeders?
  22. They will ruin you for ay other type of fish. The bites are explosive, and will make mincemeat out of your tackle. You better have stout hooks and a drag that can handle their crazy runs. The average is different, based on where you're fishing. Where we go on the Rio ***** they average about 12 lbs. Hook up into a 15 lb plus peacock and hang on for the ride.
  23. This was back in 2003. There was no 997TT. Besides if I'm going to build a porsche right, I'd send it to my pal Alex at Sharkwerks. They know how to build a car.
