  1. Yep, that's my rod, too. The 6 1/2" length and soft tip make this an ideal rod for working jerkbaits and topwater lures. I consider this a great option for an "all around" treble hook rig. The AC66MF is an outstanding, moderately priced rod. I highly recommend this stick. 8-)
  2. Nice fish! 8-)
  3. Welcome aboard! We have lots of Texans on board. I'm sure they will have some suggestions for you. 8-)

  11. I fish the GYCB 5" Single Tail Grub on a 1/8 oz Gamakatsu jig head. Only two colors for me: Blue Pearl with Silver Flakes or Smoke. http://***/cgi-bin/order/031?rpwboL5E;;135 8-)
  12. Geez...Let's start another food fight... Everyone has a "favorite" brand of rods, reels and lures. Most guys (which includes me) that fish G. Loomis IMX or GLX will tell you how much they like their equipment. Some of those same guys fish Kistler, Carrots and a number of other brands. I fish (5) St. Croix, (1)Lamiglas, (1) Fenwick Techna AV and two G. Loomis GLX. I think the G. Loomis are that much better. 8-)
  13. Re-read the post by fishfordollars a few times. Many (most) of the public lakes in Texas get fished to death, but still produce monsters on a regular basis! 8-)
  14. Hmm... No offense .disaavedra, but I think I'd go with The Reel Mechanic's advice. He has "a little bit" of experience with these things.
  15. The "green pumpkin" has black flakes. 8-)
  16. Have we missed any colors? I own several colors I tend to fish the frog pattern. I'm partial to green for all baits/ lures. 8-)
  17. Nice fish and I like your pics, too! Congratulations! 8-)
  18. Interesting observations Mr. Fly, but have you also noticed that some of the biggest bucks are harvested around noon? It's probably not a coincidence that big bass are often caught midday, too! 8-)
  19. All of them! If you like your reels, get him the one you like best. Otherwise, the Shimano Citica is on sale for around $79. This is a great real and an outstanding value. 8-)
  20. This guy's going to have to go to "Time Out". :
  21. Nice fish! The pic is working now. 8-)
