I was planning to try Sufix Advance but so far the reviews I have seen on it are not very good. It is quite a bit more expensive than Sufix Siege.

I too have towed several boats in. I have been towed in once.

If you want to stay with mono I would recommend Sufix Siege. I've had very good luck with it including abrasion resistance.

I would use it for Texas rig soft plastics and jigs. I prefer a slower speed reel for everything else.

The ones I've had were recommended to be charged every 3 months whether it was used or not.

I would try using a Baby Brush Hog.

Before I retired I used to buy Wolverine boots. They were very comfortable but after about a year the soles would split on them and had to be replaced even if they were in good shape otherwise. I finally switched to Timberland. Also very comfortable and held up better.

I gave an older fellow some baits one day. We were fishing a creek and had fished near each other several times and had talked some. I was catching fish better than he was. I gave him some of the baits I was using and gave him a hook to rig them with.

Thanks for posting this. I did not know they made special tools for installing races. I do know how to pack bearings. @Mw Michaelis I don't have trailer brakes so I won't have any problems there to worry about.

Please enlighten me about changing out the races.The only thing I have ever been told is to use a hammer and punch to knock them out. If there is an easier way I want to hear about it. I have never had good luck changing them out.

I thank everyone for their input on this. Since I never have good luck changing out the races I have ordered new hubs. The bad news is it will be two weeks before they come in.

I have to agree about starting with a spinning rod. That is how I do it. I can create a real mess trying to skip with a baitcaster.

Okay so everyone agrees I am wrong and need to change the races. To answer @haggard I am replacing them because I felt like a couple of them weren't quite as smooth as I thought they should be and they may have been fine. I have bought bearings from NAPA before and I thought they were pretty expensive then. I will replace the hubs. I have never had good luck trying to replace the races and I have done a lot of mechanical type work. As for @A-Jay comment I take my clothes down to the polluted creek to wash them before putting them back on. So take that. HA HA HA.

I went to a marine dealer today and bought new bearings and seals for my boat trailer. He tried to sell me new bearing races which I told him I didn't need. He said the races should be changed anytime you replace bearings. I can't find anything wrong with the races. The hubs are over 20 years old and I have never had bearing failure while on the road. Is he telling me the truth or is he just trying to sell me something else. I felt like I had been robbed when I left there today anyway.

I've never been in any part of Alabama. If they have any wanted posters on me they are fake.

I have heard of using a Zoom Horny Toad for a jig trailer. I have not tried it so I can't say how well it works.

Was in a Meijer store the other day. They had some GY Sencos on sale for $6.00. I bought one pack of color #297. The color that @TOXIC loves. Guess I will find out if he steered me in the right direction.

I believe the schools should change the contract. If the the coach is involved in something illegal or an NCAA violation there are fired and don't get paid another penny. If they know they are going to get rich even if fired they aren't going to care about rules or ethics.

There is one thing I would like to see changed. When he does a video sometimes I think it would be helpful to tell the air temp and water temp. Might also tell what time of the year certain things work best. I do like his videos.
