  1. So close - hatches, finish painting the port-outer hull, apply decals, a bit of electrical work - and she'll be done.
  2. Raisins are yucky and bran is like trying to chew cardboard. I'll stick with my blueberry muffins, thank you (also an old codger - but not that old)
  3. Good old Benadryl has worked for me forever. This could be a good thing.
  4. Correct - connecting in series sums the Volts, connecting in parallel sums the AH.
  5. That's what I did when I went from a Hook 2-4 to the Striker 7CV - just sat in a spot and played with it for a while until I understood what was going on. Probably have to do the same when I upgrade to an SV unit.
  6. Despite DEET - best insect repellent I've found is Calendula Essential Oil. Just a drop or two at wrists, base of neck and any other pulse-point that's exposed (ankles and back of knees for those in shorts, inside of elbows if you're in short sleeves) every couple hours. Mosquitos, Black Flies, Horse Flies - they all keep away.
  7. I'm just gonna put a couple small buckets behind the rear seat on the F-9 to start. Maybe come up with something later.
  8. Leaks can be fixed, water mopped up - everyone coming through that unharmed...priceless.
  9. Gels and AGMs can be mounted in any orientation EXCEPT upside-down. Since the electrolyte is 'contained' in both, there's no leakage concerns...unlike a wet-cell where the fluid just sloshes around.
  10. Just a light sunburn Even mono of 10# and higher doesn't work well on smaller (3000 and under) spinning reels. A good quality FC, however, isn't as much of an issue. I run 8# InvisX on a President XT-30 (2500 size) and it works well...at least for me.
  11. Depends on the brand - personally, for the 'inexpensive' auto inflates...Onyx or Mustang are the brands I look to. I've got an Onyx AM/24 now. One of these years I'll be willing to cough up the cash for a Mustang HIT.
  12. I just move the handle once - after purchasing I move it from the left to the right and never touch it again. Better than others - my Mitchells aren't 'spin in' handles, the cap has a short length of threaded rod glued (ya, glued) to the cap...the handle just slides in (hexagonal rod) and the cap spun into the end to hold it in place. If the threaded rod separates from the end-cap, the handle can just fall right out again.
  13. You can always add layers if you're still cold, There's a limit to how much you can take off to stay cool - it's called 'Birthday Suit'...and yes, I've gone down that far and STILL been too warm.
  14. A 4-power Dobyns is a little light for a 1oz swimbait...yes it's in the posted range, but at the top. I personally use a 5-power for anything 7/8oz and more total weight. A 734 is a great rod for T-Rigs...any bottom contact actually...but watch the total weight again.
  15. Is this spinning reels since they don't make a Supreme BC anymore? What I know is, I always open my Pfluegers as they seem notorious for over-packing with grease. So a new reel gets opened, flushed and re-greased/oiled before the line goes on. All my Pfluegers are smooth and easy to work. My Pflueger spinning reels: Trion-30, President-25, 2-President XT-30s, Supreme-30
  16. Nice to see the lovely Lynn out catching some fish...good times, my friend.
  17. Take this back then...otherwise it'll be snow and cold this winter for you.
  18. If they're Yama Senkos - ya, that happens a lot...they rip in half right at the O-Ring. Use a piece of shrink-tube or get VMC Crossover Rings for Yama Senkos...support more of the worm.
  19. Okay - I wasn't going to buy anything more this year - but that deal was too good to pass up. One Fuego-CT HS on it's way to me - that gives me the full set of CTs (already have a 6.3 on my crank rod and an 8.1 on my frog rod).
  20. Yep - the Reel Sonar scale I have is also sold under the Rapala and I-Bobber names...same exact scale.
  21. Or mod it into a clamp instead of a hook. That's what I did with the ReelSonar unit I got. Removed the hook, installed a carabiner, then a ring on the Rapala grip...voila - inexpensive scale with a grip instead of a hook. Definitely go to a grip...the hook can also damage the gills if you don't put the fish on correctly.
  22. I got my info from Yamamoto's site - wonder if TW is getting special packaging....or it's a mis-print on their site.
  23. You can just keep that, Kent...matter of fact, you can have ours as well.
