  1. He was nice enough to let you fish his lake. You should have given him more space. ?
  2. We had one package stolen off our porch when we lived in Kentucky. It was a Amazon package that had some cheesecake flavored pudding mix in it. ? Amazon replaced it quickly.
  3. Thanks. I've looked at that ramp before on google maps. I'll have to give it a try sometime. I usually fish during the week when there are fewer people around. I probably worry too much about ramp security.
  4. I've never fished that stretch of river. I've always heard good things. It's not that far from where I live. I'm just afraid that someone will borrow my truck while I'm fishing.
  5. If they don’t come back you can view them here. https://webapp.navionics.com/
  6. What lakes do you fish on the Cumberland?
  7. The problem with hunting with a camera is it doesn't help control the animal population. The wolves are gone. We need hunters that kill! or we'll be giving all of our money to @TnRiver46
  8. There have been years when the water level of Kentucky lake was constantly going up and down by 10-15 feet or more throughout the spawning season. There was just no way the bass could spawn in those conditions. Yet somehow they always found a way.
  9. Rage Bug is a great bait. The Googan Squad is a satanic cult. ? Just my humble opinion.
  10. Spots: 60% tried and true. 40% something new. Techniques: 90% tried and true. 10% something new
  11. That's like saying NASCAR drivers go fast because they drive fast cars. It's true but to win they have to drive their fast cars faster than the best drivers in the world.
  12. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife A-Jay.
  13. Rick Clunn used to be the GOAT. Now he’s struggles to complete. Is it because he forgot how to fish? Do you think Jordon Lee won his second Classics at age 26 because he knew as much about fishing as Rick Clunn and KVD? Knowing about fishing and being good at fishing are two different things.
  14. I don’t have any experience with the cheaper models. I did a lot of research before going with Battle Born. Most of the low cost batteries use 4 prismatic cells and if one goes bad the battery is done. A lot of higher priced models use the same cells. Battle Borns use a large number of small cylindrical cells. If one of them dies you just lose some capacity. You can watch videos on YouTube where they test the batteries and open them up to check the build quality. The Battle Born are clearly built with higher quality components. Still I was tempted to try one of the lower priced ones on Amazon that get good reviews. I think there’s a good chance that you could get your money’s worth out of it. If it only last 10 years but you can buy a replacement then for much less then it might be the best option.
  15. No and neither is John Ward. ?
  16. The best thing about September!
  17. Ford has a $61 billion dollar market cap GM has a $55 billion dollar market cap Tesla has a $863 billion dollar market cap Rivian has a $28 billion dollar market cap The world is changing my friends.
  18. Your neighbor has an early version of a car with a terrible reputation made by a company that had no idea how to build an electric car. Just because General Motors and his dealer are trying to rip him off doesn't mean the technology doesn't make since. Here's a company that will sell him a replacement for $10K. https://www.greentecauto.com/hybrid-battery/chevrolet/volt/chevrolet-volt-battery According to Wikipedia the 2011/2012 Volt's battery was 16 kWh. You can buy a top of the line Battle Born lithium batteries for your boat for about 75 cents per Wh. Your neighbors experience says more about General Motors than it does about electric cars.
  19. This is spot on. You have to "develop your own thing". In my opinion, you have to spend time on your own water to find your own way. In the process you will encounter problems and questions and others can help you find the solutions and answers. If you try to start with the solutions and answers of others without understanding the problems and questions you will struggle.
  20. I fished in a club for 10 years and we had 12 tournaments a year. There was one tournament where the temperature was 10 degrees and only 6 boats fished. Only two fish were caught that day. The other 119 tournaments someone always had a good day. The lesson I learned. The fish are always bitting for someone. It up to the angler to be that someone.
  21. This is why all tournaments forbid an angler form getting out of the boat and fishing. His chair should probably be banned from competition. ?
  22. I know good anglers who only use BC reels and I know good anglers who only use spinning reels. I love using both. Most of what I do could be done with either.
  23. I agree. If all you’re running is a small FF and minimal use of other accessories then all you need is a cranking battery.
  24. We found a dealer today that actually had a new car! It didn’t have the exact options we were looking for but we were able to drive it and we ordered one like we wanted. We should get it by the end of September. It cost $4000 less than the exact same car with 4000 miles on it cost at CarMax. They won’t let you pay cash for a car unless you buy an extended warranty for $3,000. You can finance the minimum which is $20,000 and then pay it off after 6 months. It’s a seller’s market for sure.
  25. It’s probably the new location but I would buy a couple of more packs of worms in the new color just in case. ?
