Cheap/budget hooks?
Eagle claw has vastly improved in the last few years. You might look at Captain Hooks warehouse.

winterizing your boat
Nope there isn’t. Just be sure to drain everything when you come out of the water and make sure the lower unit has drained well.

Winterizing Boat Guide
Change the lower unit fluid. Change any fuel filters. Check the spark plugs. Replace impeller if needed. Fish when you can.

School me on electronics.
If you are really interested in learning more you should decide on a brand that you want to own. They do similar things but in very different ways as well a they all have different names for the functions. Ideally getting in front of a unit in a store with a qualified sales person can really be helpful. In order to ask informed questions about a unit you can down load the owners manual for the one you want. Read it a few times, look at videos and ask questions. I run a one boat network with Minn Kota and Humminbird units all of which are Ethernet connected and share information. Right after I got started I needed to reference some function in the boat and couldn’t. So I downloaded the pfd files for all of my units and had them printed and bound. I carry them in the boat for a quick fix for most issues encountered on the water.

I’ve fished from small glass boats as well as aluminum. If I were choosing one it would be the aluminum.

Loomis IMX Pro 883 BJR vs MBR 843
I have a couple of the IMX MBR 843C rods. They are my favorite. A couple of years ago the PRO you mentioned was offered maybe on here and I jumped on it. It was nothing like what I had. I kept it for a while, never liked it and sold it.

303 Protectorant
This is what I use on my trailer vinyl. I’ve tried a lot of different things and never been satisfied. I have to reapply it every couple of trips. Is there anything better out there?

Any chemists on here?
I didn’t get a chance to use the hot sauce. A storm blew us off the lake and we drove home in the rain. Everything is covered with road gunk right now.

Putting Elaztech Baits in Trays
My neighbor keeps his in the original packaging in a tackle bag. He also keeps his Keitechs that way. You could get a bill through congress faster than he can find a particular color.

Any chemists on here?
I got a quart of Ajay’s Boat BIng Hot Sauce. I’m taking it with me to the lake today. I’ll check it out when I get back to the parking lot.

Hooks from ebay?
Have you looked at Captain Hooks? They are ligit. They are the retail store for Shorty’s Hook sales.

Another Question on Jigs
Maybe a couple of hundred all jigs included. I rarely go after a hung bait unless it’s expensive. I don’t want to disturb the area for the cost of a bait especially if I am using light line. I’ve been known to lose a dozen or more on a single brushy bank.

Putting Elaztech Baits in Trays
Zman baits seem to destroy all kinds of hooks. I also pour my own heads. For the Ned I use Victory hooks that fit the Midwest Finesse weedless mold and Gamakatsu hooks for the open ones. Over time they all will rust and break.

3 rods for spots in the fall
It is not uncommon to find spots pretty deep. Last year we had an area where the water was70’ deep. We regularly caught spots dow to 40’ deep and sometimes deeper. The Keitech with a 1/4 to 3/8 head was the best producer. We don’t normally have much surface action from them.

If you had a bass boat, FFS, SpotLock, and a bag of chips, do you think you'd catch more?
I already have all of that except the chips. I’m not one to eat in the boat. I never take food with me. The thing that has helped me the most is the trolling motor. It has lots of useful features like keeping a heading when the prop is turning, cruise control, the ability to follow a contour line, speed adjustments of at least 20, spot lock and self deployment and stowing features. I can control it from any of my sonar units, the foot pedal or a remote. If I had to give it up I would quit fishing.

3 rods for spots in the fall
Deep is a relative term. For me it is over 25’. Here is what I normally use for spots on upper Table Rock in the White River arm. 1 Ned rig with appropriate head size 2 Keitech swing impact fat in 2.8 or 3.3 3 Jewell Pee Wee jig in 5/16 to 7/16 with a Yamamoto 4” twin tail grub

Senko Color - Baby Bass
Salt will definitely require a lot more colorant. I got tired of using it a long time ago and quit. That site has hundreds of soft plastic recipes. I hope you get it to turn out the way you want it.
