Bullfrogs in my pool…
Well as you know, bass are ferocious predators. Probably won't be long before the frogs are gone in a confined environment.

Did I do right/wrong?
Just your thought process speaks volumes. You were willing to give up tackle you paid for to benefit young fisherman. They were tickled, so should you be. Sounds win win to me ?

mosquito bites.
The moral of the story is VA mosquitos are wimps and race to other states when the thermocell is active ?

mosquito bites.
My brother deer hunts in the swamps of eastern NC and claims the mosquitoes are so big they have tics. He said the first few years were miserable do to the swarms. Now he enjoys mosquitoe free hunts. Give the thermocell a try, you won't be disappointed. No but my thermocell goes with me to my tree stand in early October and never been bitten by a mosquito. Try it , seriously.

Alberto Vs Uni to Uni for braid to flouro
I've only ever used the Alberto knot so can't speak of the others........15# braid to 8# flouro. Amazed that every break-off is at the hook so still have plenty of leader to retie.

When Should You NOT Fish a Jig?
I'm more of a swim jig kinda guy so work various depth but have a fondness for wood, horizontal or standing....... always have one tied on. Only time I wouldn't throw a jig is when I'm tired of throwing a jig and want to explore other inventory.

How To Handle Bass.
Always find it amazing, YouTubers screaming DUDE DUDE DUDE while shaking the fish wildly. Yes I agree, these creatures we pursue should be handled with respect.

Auto repairs...
You are correct but unfortunately our vehicle didn't meet the criteria for the extended warranty. We bought both of our daughters Hyundai apon graduation and they were excellent cars, nothing bad to say. Wife is very happy with the current Honda. Thankyou for your insight ?

Auto repairs...
Thankfully I never had to attempt a repair as the wife sold the car to one of those " we buy your car" places in the city. She was upfront and disclosed it had a bad cylinder. Hope they do the right thing and not blindside an innocent buyer. Idk

Auto repairs...
Certainly agree, especially older Jeeps, easy to work on....... love the 4.0. Ironically this thread pops up. My wife's car " 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe" throws an engine code for a cylinder 3 misfire at only 78K. I replaced plugs, no help, I run a compression test........blown piston rings ☹️. Told the wife to drive my Jeep while I tear the head off to replace rings on all 6 cylinders. She absolutely detests driving the Jeep. She came home today with a Honda CR-V. ......true story.

Which one would you rather have
Strike king for jig trailers, Zoom all by it's lonesome self.

Casting accuracy?
Casting accuracy is VERY important and definitely will increase bites. Fishing with others from a boat who are particular about angles and what bank to go down will help increase accuracy...... from practice. I much prefer casting from my right but many times the conditions and a bow mount trolling motor, I'm forced to backhand. Accuracy suffers minimally.
