My wife of 37 years is actually a great fisherman " women " and prepares the fish we decide to keep. Love her equally as well on the boat or in the kitchen ?

That's the way I fish them, when I feel lazy and just want to slow down. They certainly catch fish and skip well, but I'm impatient at times.

Got up early and made the drive to a highly pressure lake known as " 1 fish Frederick". And it lived up to it's name today. I was the second fisherman on the lake and as I processed down the lake and noticed a gentleman fishing from a Red tracker, he beat me to the water. After 4 hours of fishing and having only caught 1 fish, headed to the ramp. As I got there, the guy in the red tracker was taking out. I asked him how the fishing was and he said he only caught 1 fish. I asked what did you catch it on ? He politely said, he can't give away his secret. ?

I use the horn every time I have to run into a town with a stoplight. The light turns green and nobody is moving, why ? Because they're playing on the cell phone. Happens every time ?

Braid to leader for all slow finesse and Jerkbaits. Straight braid for everything else , even top water but only use 20#.

Only cross bows I've owned were ten point. Seems VA is considering the use of air bows for archery season. I've shot one and it's actually a step up in speed and accuracy and a major step up in ease of use.

Same lakes produce in the same places during the same time of year but we're talking smaller lakes. Just yesterday myself and my fishing partner fished a very familiar lake and we had to laugh. We had a total of 9 rods & reels and only used 2. Fished the same section of lake using the same baits and were well entertained like the many previous times before. Last week was totally different. Fished a 20,000 acre lake that I've never fished before and took 3 days before I figured out a consistent pattern.

Every deer I kill is done this way ^ I use a Rubbermaid trash can and soak quarters for 3 days, drain each day.

That's insane ? Every once in a while we'll have some drunk redneck go on a shooting spree and take out a family member. I'm always cautious when traveling to big cities but prefer to avoid them all together. Realize there's bad people everywhere but they're simply more consentrated in heavier population densities. Guess I'm more naive to these insanely high crime rates living in such a rural area. I've yet to lock a door at night. Stay safe.

I never made mention of my rods. Their all over the place as well. Lew's custom and KVD,'s, Fenwick, kast King , Cashion, Shimano, even see a couple of lightning rods hanging out there. Lol

With the gin clear water I fish here, flouro leader always when finesse fishing but never tested it's necessity. Non the less, 15# braid to 8# sunline Snyper using an Alberto knot.

Today I serviced a Shimano, Lew's, Okuma, kast King, pflueger, Abu and not 2 of anything. Lol Is this acceptable? ?

I have a dedicated Catfish rod " mainly because the bait stinks and don't want the mess on my bass rods ". A 7ft med action lightning Rod with a Mitchell 300 reel.......I only use raw shrimp and night crawlers. Wife and I ate fresh channel cat this past weekend ?

Not sure I've ever thrown a DS under 12" leader and probably never over 16". Lol 12 - 16 has simply felt like holy grail here. Tall grass, I'm throwing something else.

I would have changed my dry rotted Stren more often and would have thrown beetle spins less often. The fun factor remains the same.
