After two seasons of searching I finally found this offshore cover .
Your luck is better than mine. Ran over a large brush pile during the winter in 25ft of water, probably 200 yards offshore. I chose not to mark it at the time thinking ehhh , this lake is only 50 acres. I've made several attempts, even several hours and can't locate it. Won't make that mistake again.

Why I Love BassResource.com
Locally I've been considered by many as a very good bass fisherman. After joining BassResource I've come to realize that the locals don't know anything about bass fishing. I've learned a lot more here than I tell. Lol

we all know this person. the FLAKE!
I'm trying to grasp everything in this thread. Lol I've had the same best friend and bass fishing partner for over 40 years and the same wife for 37 years who loves to pan fish. What's up with all these flakes?

Craziest fish catch stories.
The craziest is when a buddy and I were frog gigging during the bluegill spawn. As soon as we shined the spotlight, it startled the bluegill and they jumped into the boat. We literally battled air born bluegill all evening.

Which is a better casting rod for the whopper plopper 90 - Medium Fast or Medium Heavy Moderate Fast?
With straight braid, yes. IMHO My fishing partner for many years always fishes on the heavy side with treble hooks and his fish comes in ripped up.

Which is a better casting rod for the whopper plopper 90 - Medium Fast or Medium Heavy Moderate Fast?
I believe I posted that earlier ?. But I'm a straight braid user with no stretch and with treble hooks you don't need the backbone of MH. I won't refute what works for other members but for top water treble hooks, med action is more than enough with a properly set drag. Can't remember the last fish I've lost on top with a Med moderate fast using straight braid. To much rod and the fish come in with gaping holes or simply spit the hook.

Is mono better than braid for throwing a Whopper Plopper 90 on MH baitcaster?
Obviously we all have varying opinions when " what line what rod ? " Threads pop up. I'm using straight 20# braid on a Lew's custom top water special 6'8 medium mod fast. Shimano SLX with 2 brakes engaged......no backlash. Have never used a MH with trebles and braid. You want a bent rod when fighting a fish on top.

When and why would you throw a 4" Senko?
As effective as a 5" Senko is in so many scenarios, wacky or weightless, when would you feel the need to downsize and what would be your preferred rigging method? Was I mercilessly attached by the bait monkey when purchasing these little guys. ? Here's a comparison for ya'.

Pick Up Trucks
Pickup truck is the answer for you. I've owned 3 fishing kayaks, a Colman crawdad, 14 ft Mad river canoe, Bass Raider and several recreational kayaks. All easily slid on and off the pickup bed. Wife had a Subaru with Yakima roof rack and we needed our Wheaties to load and strap boats.

Ned rigs only catch small fish
Hah, that's a big fish. Lol It's not that Ned doesn't catch big fish, it's just that it invites smaller fish along the way.

I know a guy who knows a guy
Wow, impressive inventory.......i throw them more than any stick bait.

Marking brush piles
You've connected the dots for us ? My next step is googling 250 acre lakes in Mizzou. Lol

Vehicle Gas Mileage
Yep, have heard this my entire life. Higher octane and non ethanol produce similar results. I run Shell 99% of the time.

I’m back!!

are you rubbing your soft plastics to dull them?
I never heard of it before but if you think it's creating more bites, continue doing it. The only possible downfall would be, by rubbing and kneading your Senko's of their salt, your creating more buoyancy which won't really matter if you're using a wacky jig. Zman Elaztech is famous for this. It'll outlast it's salt then floats, perhaps not an issue with Yam.

raw oysters?
Oysters raw or prepared in any edible fashion has been a favorite of mine my entire life. Every Christmas my family ( large ) downs a bushel of oysters. We simply throw them on the grill until they open, a dash of Texas Pete.......slurp.

Pork trailers
Actually still use it some and agree, it's still messy. Back in the early 80's we bought pig savers. It was a sleeve that stored the jig and trailer and kept the pork from drying out. It saved time but created an issue, our jig hooks started rusting ?. Plastic is much easier and can remain on the jig.

Musicals...
Funny responses. Yeah I'm not classy enough to attend a musical. I'd rather be in a field with my camo hat on listening to Kenny Chesney while chewing tobacco. ?
