  1. Biggest collapse in NBA history " Knicks ". Yes I'm starting to like this young Pacers team, Hali and Nesmith looking like Jordan and Pippin 😁. OKC made Ant man look like cAnt man. I'll be up again tonight.
  2. Making sure the boat is up all the way in the home position is critical. What I do is simply take a Sharpie and mark the strap above the roller. This also ensures the back of the boat is even with the bunks. Note: The safety cable is a temporary save. If not addressed promptly the bow of the boat will porpoise wildly.....I know. 🫢
  3. Because of the gin clear water I fish, wind plays a major role. I can't fish finesse techniques effectively so avoid Windy days.
  4. 6 hrs of fishing when I launch the boat, pretty consistent. Wife and I camp a lot on various lakes for up to 2 weeks. In that case I may fish 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon and 2 hours in the evening so 6 hours of fishing is about right.
  5. Wow 😲 Crazy stuff going on. I've seen your big fish pics so let's get back to normal and post some.
  6. 10' - 20' visibility is most of the water I fish. Ned, wacky finesse, drop shot, shaky head, Mepps #3. Green pumpkin magic, green pumpkin candy, watermelon red, watermelon pepper.
  7. @gim You can get by with simple fishing/needle nose pliers. Just push the tail through and drag the ring where you want it.
  8. I carry, bought my wife and 2 daughters a Rugar LCP || 9mm pistol. Yes we all have CC permits but what I like about the pistol is no external safety, internal, no guessing and no hammer to draw. God forbid the need for sudden protection but slinging lead quickly is made simple with these firearms. And yes, all my girls have been to the range.
  9. That's my biggest complaint with Wacky. While it's an extremely effective way to catch bass here, you must pay attention to line and line tension or you invite the increaseed chance of deep hooking. I carry wire cutters and limit the usage of Wacky in wind, bass have thanked me. I have literally caught over a dozen bass on a single wacky worm using VMC crossover rings. Once I discovered their efficiency, ordered them in bulk.
  10. I have 10 - 15 fish days and fisherman are requesting a Seminar. 8 in a row and 42 bass are next level. 😳
  11. Prayers 🙏
  12. I like 13 fishing in this price range but reminds me of when the Berkeley lightning rod came out.
  13. I dress like a bum, clothes from thrift stores. I've never been " a sharped dressed man ". 😁 Thankfully the fish don't audition.
  14. Bass on black & blue jig. Blue cat on WP 120 bone. Some smaller ones
  15. Losing 5-6 crankbaits per trip ❓ Scuba diving kit.
  16. Well, no question of the importance of polarized glasses. I haven't fished without them since the early 80's. Several friends sport the Cocoons and love them. I went the route of polarized prescription and treat them with the utmost of respect due to pricing, ridiculous.
  17. I was 6 months clean until a recent stumble. Upgraded 2 rods and reels and purchased a couple of spinnerbaits. Wife even asked " I thought you were done ". I said " wasn't my choice " . 😄
  18. Yes, cheap Berkeley Vanish as backing on casting and spinning gear.
  19. I replace all trailer, vehicle tires at the 5 year mark including spare. My spare for boat trailer lays on the back of truck for months at a time but keep it protected with 303 and the stuff does work.
  20. Because of that I do my own laundry and the wife does hers. I don't like greasy feeling clothes from fabric softeners and smelling like a runway model. 😁
  21. It's all over the place regarding depth. We have clear water and some days I'm catching on a drop-shot in 20 ft of water consistently. I don't think I've targeted bass in water deeper than 25 ft. Max depth ❓ 25
  22. Have a hen up behind the house on a nest. She actually keeps the Border Collie at bay.
  23. Growing up we had a 7 acre farm pond. Many water snakes occupied this pond and never once did I see a bass attack one, not even the small one's. Little ducklings yes.
  24. If you're fishing by yourself, position your boat parallel to the bank and cast a Mepps #3...... wave bye bye to the skunk.
  25. The slingshot effect of the snap releases the lure...... it's way down river by now. 🫢
