Stalkers beware ! I'm a big fan of Ted Nuggent philosophy 😂
  2. Spinning gear with a good drag, paramount. Most of my spinning reels are ML for finesse but certainly fun when bigger fish attacks it
  3. You searching ❓
  4. From the list given, I'd vote Jigs.
  5. Moving forward......a Palomar knot.....knot ❓
  6. What's the longitude and latitude of said bait ❓😁
  7. Fishing was pretty good today. My cousin did well on bladed jig, even a Snakehead. We each caught 11 fish but he had the bigger bag. I lost my biggest fish in several years on a black buzz bait.......of course right at the boat.
  8. Wacky out fishes any finesse presentation here in the clear water. It's the slow fall on the steep banks.
  9. I'm very rod specific. Most of my rods end up throwing a single presentation.
  10. That's what I was responding to......a log full of turtles, say 10 or more diving in at the same time. I try to sneak up without scaring them but if they bail, so do I.
  11. I'll take a wake wave over a log full of diving turtles. Spawning Carp is another place I steer away from.
  12. I have several 2500 reels on ML spinning gear, personal favorites for clear water. Pay a little extra for reels with good drags, makes a huge difference when a good fish decides to take the bait. Yes it's very fun.
  13. Welcome to the forum.
  14. I probably have more Dobyns but not brand loyal with rods or reels. My rods consist of: Dobyns St. Croix 13 fishing Lews Shimano Ugly stick Fenwick and an old Lightning rod on the boat.
  15. We have one up the road, not seeing anything special.
  16. My only experience with 13 fishing is an Omen gold rod, absolutely fantastic rod. Very well built, sensitive and one of my personal favorites. Oh have a reel also that I really like " ascent comp ".
  17. I always preferred the darting action of a Bass assassin but Flukes work. They skip extremely well and entice a lot of bites. Hook up ratio has been my only complaint from throwing them for many years. Nose hooking helps but action suffers. If they hooked up like say a spinnerbait, they'd certainly be a top 5 bait of mine of all time.
  18. Well over 100K in outboards 😳
  19. Mepps #3 is a skunk killer, you'll catch something.
  20. Take your time and don't try to razzle dazzle on lookers with your backing skills. I've been backing trailers for over 50 years, anything from Hay wagons to 53ft cargo trailers. Thought I was good until I recently back the boat into the framing around the garage door 😳
  21. Zoom fluke bass this morning
  22. Fished a new lake today in southern WV and this lake was extremely clear. Must have caught all males, long and skinny. Lol 2 on wacky finesse worms and 8 on Mepps spinner. Water temps 62*. Oh and a couple of red eyes.
  23. In the river you'll catch everything and it's non stop action but bring pliers.
  24. Finesse fishing is a definite skunk killer. Drop-shot, Ned and Jackall flickshake is my go to.
