  1. I use the T-worm for floating worm rigs and for a super finessey wacky rig. The trick worm was literally the first soft plastic I ever fished. Fished it on a split shot worm set-up. Man I miss catching fish like that. It was so much fun back when I was a kid.
  2. Mine is mounted on the sidewall on the port side of the boat next to the gas tank and about a foot from my trolling motor battery in my Stratos. Thats the way it came so thats the way it will stay.
  3. A friend of mine once said FFS takes the "professional" out of professional fishing... I'd like to see it some but not a scopefest for every event. Like I've said before I think MLF made the most out of what they had with their decision to regulate it to one period a day. I'm pretty OK with that. Funny part is since that new format I have seen quite a few guys struggle for two periods and then fill a limit when they turn on the scope.
  4. I'm from Kentucky. Bourbon for us is a way of life. Jim Beam is my favorite.
  5. 90% of the time I use a .25 oz. swimjig with a straight tail minnow and fish it like a jerkbait. I have nerve damage in my hands from the service that prevents me from doing the Alabama shake. If I'm hitting a brushpile I usually use a flipping jig. Heck I think I might own 2 swimjigs over a quarter ounce. I might have to pick some up and give this a try.
  6. Tourney was on Tuesday anyways. lol Caught a bunch of shorts and one 5 pound 15 ouncer.
  7. On my way through Augusta GA and passed ole Shin Fukae on i20 on his way home from Smith Mountain Lake.
  8. Randleman doesn't have an electric side. I think you're talking about Macintyre

Roostertails are my ultimate confidence bait. It's the one lure I can grab when I feel all hope is lost and I need to put a fish in the boat.
  10. This is the absolute best shakey head worm on the planet the SMH worm. Finally ran out and had to replenish. They are tougher than they look. One pack will usually last me a worm a trip. I put one on in the morning when I start and it will literally last me all day. Really a pain to put on corkscrew type shakey heads due to the toughness of the elasticky whatever it is. but ball head type shakeys work great! Also designed by a Hartwell local Brian Latimer!
  11. Spearpoint offset EWG 5/0. If you hang one on a spearpoint he aint comin off.
  12. I used them on a shakey head when they first came out. They did pretty good for me.
  13. If your letting him use baitcasters get him an old Abu Black max. They can usually be found super cheap on facebook marketplace and they were one of the toughest cheap reels on the planet. I ran over one with my truck and other than a scratched top it still worked great. They were also very forgiving on the caster and easy to set the brakes on. The only drawback to them is that they don't make the original black maxes anymore.
  14. I depends on the water clarity for me. Clear water gets smaller baits and the dirtier the water the bigger I go.
  15. Abu Revo X 5th gen 7.3:1 The 4th gens are decent but the 5th gen Revo Xs are so smooth and feel like alot higher quality than a 120 dollar reel.
  16. I organize my soft plastics by bin but if you wanted to take the time putting up a peg board and hanging them by type and even color could be super helpful. the nly drawback to the pegboard is you will lose all of your wallspace and it will be pricey.
  17. I used them when I was a kid for schooling bass. There wasn't a better bait for it.
  18. Matt Stefan Tyler Berger(Bass Fishing HQ) Scott Martin Ben Milliken Get UR fish on Hillary Martin(The reel Hillary Sue) Mike Iaconelli fishing(His in the shop videos are awesome!) Jacob Wheeler(Wheeler fishing) Lynn Dollar(Has all the old FLW and Bassmaster shows from the 80s and 90s) Brian Latimer Cerebral Tackle(he has about the most honest no BS news videos on what's happening in Professional fishing) Edwin Evers Steve Rodgers Outdoors Bearded Paddler(Alex Rudd) Midwestfishergal(Kristine Fischer) Glancing through my sub list those are the channels that stood out to me.
  19. I lay flukes out on their backs in the sun on the boat deck while I'm fishing. After about 30 minutes they are straight again.
  20. Tough day but a good day on Randleman lake in NC. Only caught one i could weigh but it was 5 pounds and 15 oz. Shakey head with a finesse worm. Rest of the day caught a bunch of dinks. It was supposed to be overcast but it was sunny and hot so I am beat.
  21. I didn't think it was possible to do worse than I did on Fork but the Sabine really showed me that ANYTHING is possible if you suck bad enough. LOL
  22. I used to use an edura 30# on my kayak. It handled it pretty well. I got a killer deal on a newport 55# so I upgraded. I will say though, after I upgraded I left my endura sitting in the corner of the garage for about a year and when I went to test it because i was going to sell it the blasted thing wouldn't work. The switch in the handle went bad. If it is going to be stored in a garage or shed the endura might not be the best choice.
  23. If it was indeed a heart attack or stroke at 38 that would imply to me that he probably had a pre-existing condition or something. I had a friend that was the picture of health and he had a seizure and died while his wife was at work at 32. Never been diagnosed with epilepsy but that was what killed him. Evidently he had it and didn't know it.
  24. @Smirak I've heard good things about "Back Dough" I about died laughing when a friend told me the name with a straight face. They have both sweet and savory doughnuts.
  25. Took this from an article on who makes it on anglers advantage web site
