So I know the site is legit...its the official site for the pradco fishing brands. Several heavy hitters in there like Yum, Booyah, War eagle and also lots of cool vintage brands in there like Heddon, Cotton Cordell, Rebel and a score of others. Guess I was just wondering if anybody regularly orders from there? How are the shipping times? I like that they carry everything so you can find cool colors or even different styles or sizes of baits that Tackle warehouse doesn't carry.

So when I think mag finesse worms I think of stuff like the zoom mag finesse or strike king fat baby finesse. Then I found the yum offering and its name is misleading. After checking the specs on this dude its closer in size to an 8in strike king bull worm or zoom mag trick worm. Its 7.5in and twice as big around as a finesse worm. Also like all of yums products its a bargain comparatively...7pk for $3.29.Anyhow I bought a pack to try and was wondering...anybody throw this? How do you like them?

I've got some packs of Berkley havoc stuff which I bought several years before they were discontinued in 2017 I believe so some of the bags are 6-10 years old and are still as good as the say I bought them. As long as you keep them out of sunlight, extreme heat and reseal the bags they will last...I don't know..forever? Longer than you will need them to last. If you find a package that's popped or won't seal just throw the baits in a Ziploc. Case in point..I remember my dad taking me to a garage sale when I was in 5th grade when we lived in Illinois. The guy running it had a worm bar set up for stuff that he made and bought in bulk...standard curl tail worms,old craw worms...you know cool 80s stuff. We picked up a bunch and when I visited my dad a few weeks ago he still had some. I was like I said in 5th grade at the time so I was 10...I'm 38 now. So even if he poured it that day for the sale its still pushing 3 decades.

I'm no genius but I'd say its displacing air..otherwise how would it put off a breeze? If it cut thru the only disturbance would be right against both sides of the fan guard/cover. That's my guess.

Kinda both. All year I usually have a Ned rig and a jig or T rig tied on...the other rods I change up between different top waters and moving baits depending on water temps and forage preference.

I'm 100% bank bound for Bass. I've got buddies that have boats but we always target pan fish or walleye when I go with them. My local water body is actually 2 connected ponds...1 is decent size 1 is small. Anyhow I fish 2-4 times a week I'd guess and I havent been skunked since April. I have a few other bodies of water I hit but I'd say 90% of my fishing is done in these ponds and they almost always produce at least a few.

We have a series of small connected ponds about 15 miles north of me. The water is clear and cool but we are talking tiny not very deep so they are the first to open up at ice out. Coolest part is the South Dakota dnr stocks them with rainbows. At ice out ill throw small lipless and Ned rig in these ponds...I usually catch more trout than bass. Its alot of fun after staring thru a hole in the ice for 3-5months.

I shouldn't have really suggested those. To be honest when I fish a small jig I reach for some @Bluebasser86 made for me..they are slightly larger than a bitsy bug with a hand tied skirt and a much better hook.

Missile baits Ikes micro jigs. Come in a 2pk...weed guards aren't installed but come with them so you can decide if you want them or not. Head shape looks better for working thru weeds. $5.99 on tackle warehouse.

So what do these taste like?

When I went braid to leader I thought that the leader may be to light. But I've landed drum, catfish and carp with no breakage issues. If they don't snap it no largemouth will.

What setup or setups have you settled on for throwing the deadly nedly? I have a couple but my favorite is a 6'10" 13 fishing omen black medlight extra fast...1000 size Daiwa Revros...10lb power pro to 6lb yo Zuri hybrid leader.

I'm a pretty good caster both casting and spinning...no expert by any means but can usually get where I want.

I'm 20 years into this bass deal and I fish alot. Not alot of time on the water compared to some of you but still I've had my share of experience. Some days I feel like a pro and others I feel like I've never held a rod and couldn't catch a bass with a stick of dynamite. I've got a long way to go but I definitely feel like I've improved.

I got home from fishing around 9ish tonight...got me a giant 9in largemouth! But hey at least I didn't skunk..ol deadly nedly doing it again. Anyway I'm putting stuff away and as I'm looking thru my rod racks I realize I don't have a single rod with a jig tied on. Then it dawns on me...I don't think I've thrown a jig all year. I've thrown a chatterbait and swim jig...but no form of finesse, flipping or dragging jig. WTH? So I tied on a finesse ball head jig for Friday. Sorry for the weird post...just felt like I had to tell somebody I've been wasting my life but I'm gonna right this ship. Edit: I remembered that I threw a jig a few trips back in April...caught fish..then put it up for 4 months. That's even worse then not throwing it at all.

I'm gonna pick up a pack of coppertreuse since basically everybody has mentioned it. I'm also gonna get a pack of twilight...just because I don't get it...and I wanna see if it works.

I think the plastic matters alot..the size and shape at least..color matters some but less than size and shape. I can't count how many times I've switched from a grub to a TRD, or a straight tail to a ribbon tail or a fluke to a soft stick bait and instantly starting getting bit.

So we all know colors like blacknblue, Junebug, green pumpkin,California craw and the deal all produce. But I'm looking to expand my TRD color pallet. Are there any odd or not commonly mentioned colors that you have good success with?

How has the weather been there rain wise? Is the pond higher or lower than normal? The reason I ask is we have been in a drought for over a year...the ponds and River are maybe the lowest I've ever seen. This completely changes my approach.

Being bank bound the only time I use electronics in fishing is thru the ice. So I guess you could say all my decisions are based on experience, what the fish are telling me and what I can visibly see above the water with my eyes. Also having extensive knowledge about the body of water is obviously a huge advantage. I can't tell you how many times I've fished my local pond where I get stopped by a dude in a nice bass boat with lots of electronics asking me how its going. Often they say they skunked while I usually had at least a somewhat productive outing. One misconception about electronics is as long as you find the fish they are just gonna jump in the boat. Sure electronics help in finding the fish...which is a huge help...but once you find em you still gotta get em to eat. Jacob Wheeler is a great example..everybody has the same electronics as him but he still beats everybody all the time. Then there are guys that buck the trend and are still very successful. John Cox is the first one that comes to my mind. He is flying purely on shallow water instinct. He's won several million bucks and his boat is never in more then 6-8ft of water. To me that's as or more impressive then guys dominating offshore.
