Screen Names

Featured Replies

Since we're sharing today.  My screen name is a double entendre with a story of course.  It all started quite some time ago in a tournament.  Well, after a tournament to be exact.  I had a poor showing with less than a limit which caused me and my partner to miss getting a check, naturally.  My partner said if we had a F*^$#%$G Limit, we would have cashed.  I replied with, "yup, a flippin limit", but not in those exact words.  Of course, I also like to flip n pitch, hence the double entendre.

Childhood nickname I hated as a kid that now gets used by a few family members. If ya can't beat em, join em right?

Man I hope Ghoti checks in on this thread. I know his story, but I will let him tell it. It is a great one.

More than 20 years ago, I was competing in a sport where nicknames were sometimes bestowed upon you by the other competitors. It was not something that you chose for yourself. There were names like Hurricane Bob, MadDog, Flash, etc.  I ended up with "Goose."  I wish I could say that it came from the Goose character in the movie TopGun but I can't....

Lotta Geese around on the various forums so I had to add something to Goose to register on most boards. So, 52 is my birth year (1952).

I have long been accused by friends & family of spending too much time outside. Fishing, camping, climbing, hiking, kayaking, sky diving, etc...its jus what i do

I make a living working with water and I spend my spare time around water. I figured waterlogged would be appropriate

Well............what do you THINK it means...........I'll let you know if you guess right. :smile11:

Well, you are too young to have been in ww2, so my guess is that you are into ww2 reenactment. I have a friend who is into civil war reenactment. And you probably are a farmer or work on a farm. That's the best I can come up with.

Whether I'm in a boat or fishing from shore, the first thing I usually do is start casting parallel to the bank.

None of the neighborhood kids with whom I played backyard football wanted to cover the 6th grader who was six feet tall. "F that, I ain't guardin' Jolly Green!!" as in the giant of canned vegetable fame.  Same initials as my real name, also. I hate thinking up screen names, but otherwise I guess I'm reasonably jolly.

Mine is self explanatory retired boatswain mate (USCG), retiredbosn

The main body of water I fish is the occoquan reservoir and I love to throw a jig!

Kritter is a nickname Ive picked up over the years because people always pronounce my last name that way and it stuck, and Im always chasing some kinda critter whether it be huntng or fishing, hence the get(er) part.

Mines a play on words.  I enjoy waterfowl hunting in the fall and our best hunts are usually during or before foul weather.  So its along the lines of foul weather brings fowl to the skies.

My wife gave me my screen name. I always show her my TW orders and I am always buying more frogs. One day she claimed I was a frog freak. I couldn't really argue (I wouldn't win anyway).

Does anyone?

Mine was a character on Sanford & Son. I thought it sounded cool and adopted it. It's what I use on most forums I belong to.

Maico was the name of a German made MotoCross Bike (motorcycle) I raced with back in the day.

Well mine is kind of self explanatory. Right after a cast, I love to feel a fish just blast it, especially a topwater!

My first name is Bass and my last name is Whipper so I shortened it to make it easier to say.  Rolls off the tongue better that way.
