Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

@Fishjak, the weather man is always wrong but people still rely on them daily. It boggles the mind. By the way, nice smallmouth

Hate putting the Pro-V Bass up for the winter but this was a good way to end it.

The challenge is what makes it so satisfying.

Horrible to think you're going into the winter freeze already, especially after all that wind that has kept you off the water recently.

I hear that @Tim Kelly

Last half of this season was like nothing I've experienced and hope it never repeats.

Definitely makes one appreciate the better trips and appreciate every fish.

Perhaps it will set up a banner 2020 !

Nice fish (and boat)! How did you take that last picture (drone, selfie stick, friend?)? Any details how you caught the fish?

Lol, shameless.  Love it.

Fished 8:30-2:30 today in the wind and rain tho 70ish degrees made it bearable. Caught 10, 1 on a bladed jig and the rest on a spinnerbait with the best of the day at 4-8.

Pics from my adventures over the last few weeks.
Had one of the best fishing days I’ve ever had at a small mountain lake. Caught my first ever Northern Pike, somewhere in the area of 30 LM bass, and a couple small smallmouths out of the river that feeds the lake.

Several LM in the 2-3lb range, one that went 4.5lbs, and a couple smallies in the 2-3lb range out of local waters!
Then caught a pile of rainbow trout this last week fishing mountain streams in the Western NC area.

Heading to a couple other local lakes today and tomorrow, and hoping the whack weather over the past few days here hasn’t stirred the water up too bad.

i took the little johnny out around 11 this morning. post cold front conditions but warming into the mid 50’s, felt good. swt around 63 and relatively good water clarity. i only caught 6 today. this 20” largemouth hit a Zoom U Tail, in green pumpkin magic, right off the bank in about two feet of water.

First trip to Texas was a crazy one... Air temps in the 40s, and 75 degree water temps.  Stuck this one on a frog.  Not at all what I was expecting when I booked the trip, but it was a blast!

That was my excitable utterance to @TnRiver46 big ole pig, then I saw your post ?

Caught my 3rd largest bass last night! 6.73lbs on the S Waver 168. I also lost one that was so big I couldn't move it when I set the hook, who knows what that one was.

Got out today 8-1 for what may be my last outing of the year depending on how the weather shakes out. Stayed mostly with the spinnerbait that's been good lately but only managed to find 3 that wanted to bite with one weighing 4-5

Got in about an hour and a half this afternoon. Our weather seems to be transitioning quickly towards winter. I'm usually still on some power patterns about now but have to roll with the punches. Caught several on ned rig, mostly smaller but this one made it worth the effort.
