I almost bought that mb bait. Damm I just like the pricey stuff.

Added 5 new falcon bucoo sr's to the lineup, all on sale at tackle direct for 50% off. got there 7' ul and two 5'6" ul, but they have a moderate action an no backbone at all, leading to a very light and sensitive, yet whippy feel; therefore, they will be going back before I change my mind.

My ned rig rod is a 7ft. bucoo medium light moderate action rod. It works great with the little ned rig hooks. still handles decent sized fish. Landed one over 5lbs. with it.

Walmart has the Luck E Strike American Originals G5 crankbaits for $3.00.

I love these little crankbaits. they run like the original wiggle warts. Plus they come in unique colors

My order came in. 5 Dobyns Fury rods. I was going to put Tatula CT reels on them, but I found Fuegos for $60 each so that made my decision for me. I got these Presidents at half price at a going out of business sale.

663C, 664C, 662S, 663S, 705CB (I like shorter rods, didn't have a choice with the CB though)

A few BFS jigs, Dark Sleepers and SKT's to replace some I lost last spring. Oh, and a Lucky Craft Chinu O Tiny crank to try out.

They do. I can't wait to fish them. Gonna be another few weeks at the earliest before fishing is possible in the North.

This is my first Dobyns experience. I was skeptical of their power rating system. But I contacted Gary and asked some questions here as well and got led in the right direction. They feel great.

I've got a 735c paired with a Feugo and I love it. So much so that I'm trying to sell my cranking rod (AG Ike Delay) for a 705CB. Although, I do appreciate the t-wing and extra bearings in the Tat.

I love Tatulas. I'm a Daiwa fanboy and biased towards Tatula. At best I can only ever find them at 100 bucks. At best. Compare that with finding Fuegos at 60 and that's quite a bit saved going that route after paying full price for the Furys.

Also 735C is probably my next purchase down the line.

I like shorter rods as well, still hunting for a great short frog rod.

If you find a true Heavy in the 6'6" range let me know!

So far it seems like the old loomis mbr 784 rods are the most “reasonsble” option but I have yet to find one in ebay for a price I like.  Otherwise Japan/SE Asia has options in the form of snakehead rods, but they start pricy and go up from there.

It's great rod - I use it mainly for jigs, I prefer the 3/8-1/2oz with a trailer. A 168 s-waver overloads it a bit from a swimbait perspective. It's perfect for frogging. TBH I wanted the 704/734c but it was sold out at the time.

I've chatted with Gary a couple of times, he's awesome and very knowledgeable. I'm a Dobyns fanboy for sure. He's got some awesome terminal tackle too. The swimbait  jigheads with a weedguard look legit, 4 prong keeper.

Getting ready to hit a local pond once the weather cooperates and I could not find my Ned Rig jig heads and plastics.

So I hit Green Top on February 28th and bought two colors of Ned Rig plastics and some weedless jig heads.

Cost of plastics is $1.00 a package less that BPS and the jig heads were less costly than what BPS has.

So that is my latest purchase.

Like to know what you think of the 3/4c ounce you use them thinking about maybe getting one of the next for light weightless plastics/topwater.

Once you get to use them

I went to BPS so I could use my gift cards to purchase my 2019 fishing license.  I strolled back through the bargain bins and saw that they had KVD crankbaits, Redeye shad, and SK Bitsy Flip jigs all on sale.  The redeye shads had been pretty well cleaned out, but I managed to find a sexy shad, and a bone colored bait.  From the jig bin, I got three orange/brown, two black, and three black/blue 3/8 jigs.

Just got back from the World Fishing expo at Suffern. Snapped up some goodies. I restrained myself as I just pigged out at BPS(sale), my local B&T(sale), and TW(no sale, but I had to get me some more IMA suspending Lipless cranks. Crazy goodness right there).Anyway, should be set for a while! FLW(famous last words). The stand up heads at the Mega Strike booth were impressive during the demo. No matter how it's thrown, the bait stands up...in a hard bottomed fish tank at least. We'll see how they do in some of the bogs I fish in. I'm just itchin to try 'em.

Those Ima cranks are amazing!

Bps order came in Friday. Can't wait to try the bomb craw, interesting craw style bait. The Trd craws look pretty good too.

Couldn't help myself. Had to go back to Wacky Worm to pick up a few more things.

Anybody use the GY topwaters? Wondering if they are as good as other "walking the dog" style baits? Paid just over $20 for everything in the photo. The GY topwaters were half off.
