They have changed the black magic color. The originals had green on the bottom and were amazing for dirty/stained water. Personally, I was disappointed in the new color being solid black... The fish probably won't care.

Made a few purchases because the deals were good, the funds were there and I felt like reminding myself that winter will end...eventually!

I returned a gift from a family member to Dick's and they gave me store credit so I checked out their clearance section. BTW they had a sign on the door saying they were having a "Tent Sale" but there was no tent outside of the building. I questioned one of the lackies...um...I mean "Retail Specialist" about this and was told there is no tent outside. My response was "Yea, I can see that. That is the question. How can you have a "Tent Sale" with no tent?". I was then told the tent didn't make the trip. So I responded with "So this is more a metaphorical "Tent Sale" than an actual tent sale?". I then told them that they had real tents in the building, for sale and could just take one of those tents, put it up outside and then they would not have a metaphorical "Tent Sale" but an actual "Tent Sale". They just looked at me. Anyway, I bought some stuff. Here it is.

Herman is still makeing them. Carolina Crankbait supply co is the only place that retails them. You can pick them up on facebook from time to time, too.

Glad to here he is still in business! I picked these up at a fishing flea market and the craftmanship is second to none. These are the nicest crankbaits I have ever owned and while they are works of art I plan to fish them.

Originally I had ordered the Wicked 1.5 but they were out of stock and my patience is non-existent this time of year.  The green eye deal on the 6th sense is cool, but again, the fish prob don't care.  Buying any new crank online is always a bit of an adventure lol

I'm smitten with the new real seats on the LTB spinning rods. I didn't mind the 'old' version, but these new ones are much nicer.

I like the "old" one as well. I've still got my dropshot model. The new ones that I've handled in stores have felt suuuper nice. The balance feels a little bit better to me, but that may just be more gripping options with a more flush handle.

Academy Sports today 50% off all clearance storewide. Wish I'd been when door opened. Crazy deals on some things.
