Attila Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 Was practicing my shakey head presentation and had this decent rock bass hit right beside a dock. 10 Quote

Surprised me, at first I thought a small smallmouth had grabbed the bait as it jumped up and into the dock but when it came out I saw it was a rock bass...fishing, full of surprises! 1 Quote

PAbasser927 Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 After getting skunked for the first 6 or 7 hours of the day, my dad and my brother and I caught all these guys in about an hour before the bite shut off again. Never know what the day will turn into! 10 Quote

A barbel really doesn't look like a predatory fish but it's super cool that they will eat things other than chunks of lunch meat that the guys in the UK like to camp out with haha 1 Quote
Angealy Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 I caught this before heading home for the day. Such a cool sunfish, I think it is anyway. Never caught a blue one before. 2 Quote

And, pound for pound, probably the best fighting fish we have on our waters. The fight doesn´t last very long, but, while it lasts, it´s like you´re hooked to a torpedo... 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 1, 2017 Global Moderator Posted July 1, 2017 Pitched into a laydown and thought I'd hooked one of the DD bass that live in this lake for a minute, should have known. 8 Quote
frosty Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Caught my first longear sunfish today. Unfortunately he took all 3 barbs and there was no way to get them out without serious damage to him, and I didn't figure a jerkbait would rust away so I had to put him out of his misery, to bad, he was a feisty little guy 3 Quote
Pkfish49 Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I caught these Yellow Perch back in June. They were delicious, fried in butter: 5 Quote

Yeah, I didn't even consider that. I was honestly trying to figure out how he got the whole treble hook in his mouth! 1 Quote

Almost impossible to remove the hook without tearing their mouths up when they're sewn up like that. 1 Quote

Oh yeah, get one out, start working on the top ones and back in the bottom one goes, not to mention the other top one was ripping... oh well, I'm sure some gar has made a meal out of him already. 1 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted July 5, 2017 Super User Posted July 5, 2017 I agree. I dont think we have pumpkin seeds in Fla. What threw me off was the dab of orange on the Gill plate 1 Quote
