The Cleveland Indians never get the respect they deserve. Who will be the last team standing in the AL?

  • I was only one when the Dodgers moved to LA.  I understand my uncle got in a heap of trouble from my aunt over this picture of him and a movie star that appeared in in Life Magazine.   https

I never thought it would happen but Verlander went to the Astros. Good for him, sad to see him go but he deserves better.

3 prospects and the Tigers eat $18 million of his contract is all it took. I don't follow the Astros but I hear they're pretty good this year. Good luck to JV!

I was kinda surprised at that. I always thought of him as a lifelong tiger. Guess that doesn't happen these days.

That's what I thought too. But I don't blame him for okeying the trade. They were given enough opportunities to win a worl series but always came up short. I'm a loyal person to a fault but I don't blame him at all!

The Twins clinched a road playoff wild card game on Thursday night, courtesy of the late night road victory by the White Sox over the Angels.  This is the first time in MLB history that a team has gone from losing over 100 games one season to a playoff berth the next.

I feel like Cleveland is the team of destiny this season after losing in game 7 of the World Series last year.

I hope your right, Franconia is a great manager and has brought that team to the next level.

The playoffs are finally here. B) I love playoff baseball, it's a totally different atmosphere.

Who the Phillies playing? Oh yea never mind. I have cousins in Cleveland and have seen a lot of games out there. Buddy Bell was one of my favorite players growing up. Go tribe!

My Nats are the Nots so far...

Don't feel bad, my Royals have a strangle hold on last place and show no signs of giving up that spot. Once they trade away Moose and hopefully Duda, they'll really be in the basement. So goes the highs and lows of a small market baseball team fan. Still not as bad as I remember them being as a kid. Right now they at least look like they belong on the field, they're just not as good as the other team most nights. Growing up, I remember them being comically bad, like they rounded up the team from the parking lot before the game (and they might have, not like anyone would have known any different). Hopefully in the next 3-4 years their prospects will be maturing and coming together like the last group did in 2014 and 2015.

Best first have in Franchise History ~

Now if they can win the last game they play this season -

It may end up meaning something.

Either way, it's been fun to watch.

I have been saying it for years that the Nats are a product of a bad division and aren't that good.  The one year they had a chance to do something as multiple players were having career years, they mismanaged Strasburg and his innings and said no worries, they will be back.  They will probably overpay for Harper too which will hold them hostage for a while and he is NOT worth a huge contract.

All that being said, my Phillies are surprisingly ahead of schedule as far as the rebuild is concerned and I am not complaining.  if any team has the capability of blowing it at the end of the season, it is them but we will see what happens.  We need bullpen help desperately bad an some consistent offense, Machado maybe :)

The Sox are in cheat mode, cruising in most games, winning games they shouldn't, but that's what good teams do. Just have to hope they didn't get too hot too early.

Clinched the East tonight at Yankee Stadium.

That was easily the 'Fastest" baseball season in my 50 years plus of follow this team.

Going 104-49 will do that I guess.

Hope the pitching hold up in the post season.

I missed the ending but good to see the Sox managed to sneak by the Yankees last night ?

Hopefully they saved something for game 4.
