Walmart here has Berkeley and gulp on sale for 1 to 3 dollars for bags of tubes, worms, chigger craws, generals and minnows. Picked up some more generals and tubes.

That sounds like my walmart, except it would be Reg $6.48. Clearance $6.49.

 

There must be a lot of people that buy stuff marked "clearance" no matter what the price is, because that walmart has a whole aisle dedicated to "clearance" stuff that is the original price, and there are always people there rummaging through the stuff.

@EGbassing that’s how the Berkeley sale started here was a little mark down, then next time clearance for a dollar. Give it two weeks

Was in a Meijer store the other day. They had some GY Sencos on sale for $6.00. I bought one pack of color #297. The color that @TOXIC loves. Guess I will find out if he steered me in the right direction.

The one local to me always has an area with fishing stuff.  It's a mix of cheap items and some more expensive items at a discount.  Last time is was in they had 500+ packs of sick fish, senkos at a discount, Storm swimbaits, and some random Rapala and Lucky Craft hard baits.  It is hit and miss on what each store will have.

They usually have some fishing gear. Mine has Senkos for $1 less than Walmart, Sufix Elite line for half off and Rapala lures for $4.99

 

Check their website for your local flyers by entering your zip code. Sometimes they have fishing stuff advertised.

I know the Meijer store you're referring to, lol. I actually never thought to check their fishing section until recently. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I picked up some Senkos and some Rapala X-raps on sale.

Thanks for the heads up!  Just bought a Daiwa Fuego LT for $67.  Never bought a Daiwa before and was eyeing this one for my dedicated smallie rod.  Can't wait to try it out!

Just stopped by another Ollie's in my area and found the had Rapala Shadow Raps and Shadow Rap Shads along with more Scatter Raps and tons of Zoom plastics. The bait monkey almost didn't let me get out of there alive.
