Plus it has a crankshaft bearing on top of the ARB. Also, the bearings have circlip shield retainers, so they're easily serviceable. It's a poor man's Curado K and stupid good at this blowout price.

Anyone happen to order a Irod gen II rod that was back ordered from TW that was suppose to be in on Dec 16th. TW hasn't shown any if the Irod Gen. II rods for a few days now, wonder why that is.

I e-mailed them re: this, waiting for a reply.

Not that rod, but I ordered a Shimano reel that was backordered and has been showing as in-stock since at least the beginning of this week. I emailed them a couple of days ago to check on it but haven't heard back. I was hesitant to email knowing that they're covered up, but from what I've read their process for fulfilling backorders isn't as streamlined as the rest of their operations.

 

edit: on your rod, keep in mind that those backorder in-stock dates are estimates, and given the shipping backlog with all providers right now I wouldn't be surprised to see those dates slip

I have always made it a habit to NEVER order anything that was on backorder. That being said, I went against my better judgement and ordered a Curado 70 MGL on BF so I could get the 20% off even though it was on backorder. It showed to be in stock Dec 9th. Well, the 15th came along and it still wasn't in stock. I thought I would give them a few more days. Then they updated it to Feb 10th as the new in stock date. I just canceled my order and will go back to my policy of NEVER ordering anything that is on backorder. LOL

 

I just ordered it from a different retailer that had them in stock, even got them to price match the BF price.

I grabbed one from scheels a cple weeks ago for 599. The garmin 93sv uhd. Dont know if they're still that price but it came quickly

Scheels, GPS Store, BBG Marine, Russell Marine Products, My Green Outdoors. That should give you a chance to shop around for the best deal.

Blah, I just bought a SLX from TW just to try out a modern Shimano. I have a fleet of Daiwa Fuego CTs and could always use a little more Tatula in my life.

Fixing to grab up 3 of the tatula ct's myself.  Simply can't be beat at that price!

I ordered one from TW on BF that was backordered until 12/9. On the 12th I got the shipping confirmation email, so it's on the way now. I was in no rush since it's winter here, and the $183 was too killer a price of argue with. I have one of the first ones that was shipped, and it's a fantastic reel.

I got mine that I ordered on the 14th from a different retailer, but I had to pay $184.99
