Probably just a spring clearance - moving out last year's stock so they can get fresh in...not that it matters with braid.

I would stay far far away. I ordered some DFI oil from them and got my credit card company to give me a credit. It had definitely been opened. Although I never peel the foil on the cap it was obviously refilled with who knows what. They gave me crap when I requested a return and I was like NOPE I smell a rat. 

AMEX came in clutch and said we'll credit you. I took it to AutoZone and dumped it. Looked like the right color and consistency but I wasn't making a 15-20K mistake over that.

Well in that case absolutely, would never make sense to save 3 bucks and risk your car, that's a terrible gamble.

 

But save 9 bucks to order the same exact product you would get but not have to pay for their mark up and overhead is an easy gamble. I've definitely discovered a few OEMs on AE and saved big bucks.

 

You just gotta check the seller/store, check the number of sales, check the reviews... all the basics you should be doing anyway, it just looks different.

 

Watch some YouTube fishing AE hauls and you'll see, of course there are duds, but lots of gems at very reasonable prices

I bought 2 BFS rods and some terminal off AliExpress and it's was all great.  One of them is my favorite BFS rod right now.  

 

More Midway Mystery Rods:

 

I bought 2x 90$ mystery casting rods from Midway.  I received 2x Lews Carbonlite rods - both 7' and fast action.  One is Med Heavy and the other one is Heavy.  

 

They are really lightweight, for sure.  Haven't fished them yet.

Yeah…get on their mailing list. If you ever find yourself in southeast Maine (Kittery - hence the bame) near the New Hampshire border, you owe it to yourself to go check it out in person. It is very overwhelming, but in a good way. I haven’t been in over 10 years, so it may have changed. Also, stop by Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery. Thank me later (if it’s still there).

Done with short-casting SV’s except the two reels that I have for skipping. Am thinking of a Tatula 80 for a Medium-Light rod - for lures somewhere between BFS and Medium.  It’s a question of if you can get enough distance with the 80… is the start up inertia to cast a light lure better on the 80, or Elite? I plan to find out next week…

Not really a sale, but snagged some whopper ploppers, spinners, crankbaits and rattletraps off of Temu for $1 per lure.

 

The hooks remind me of Eagle Claw treble hooks...from the 1990's.  xD

 

Probably will get better hooks, tbh, but I tested them in the pool and they seem to do the job.
