How many current and former servicemen and women do we have here at Bass Resource?

I am aware of several, but I'm willing to bet there are a lot more than that.

Yesterday at work I saw a man and his wife (both in wheelchairs) waiting on an elevator. He was wearing a ball cap with a colorful US Army design on it. I thanked him for his service and said I liked his cap. I asked him when he served and he said 1977. I replied “Wow! I’m 1978! You were a year ahead of me!” But I was thinking “Holy crap! I look a lot better than he does!”

Then he adds “I joined the USAR in ‘77, but I was a Marine from '68-'72". That was a bubble burster! 😂

Saw this today and just couldn’t resist. I’m an army guy, but I do love my marine brothers and sisters ❤️

Unfortunately due to a training injury I received an Honorable Medical Discharge the same year I volunteered for the US Army, 1972.

I still struggle with the feeling of “stolen valor” due to fact I never completed my service commitment. It makes it hard to raise my hand when Veterans are honored. Just as it has taken me three years to post in this thread.

I loved the Service and am proud and appreciate of all those whom have served.

Thank you for your service

I did my basic at Ft.Dix the summer of 85. Then 4 years later processed for Germany there. I  liked it up there.
