2 states in the last year have registered a record smallie on a ned rig! The other was in Illinois on Lake Michigan.

I dont get it but the ned works.

 

Im a believer but when i junk fish i reach for a jig first. It seems like the jig should draw bigger bass. Maybe i just need more confidence in the ned or spend more time at it.

Same way, I rarely ever throw it

Round here it’s all anyone has thrown for 5 years, I can usually collect several shroomz heads if I walk a bank 

i have thrown the ned with some sucsess but 30 percent of my catches on a ned are not a bass.

My wife caught her biggest bass on a Ned (6lb 10oz), and I hooked probably the biggest bass I've ever had on my line with a Ned (shook his head as I tried to net it and off it went, probably would have went 7-8lbs).  Big bass like little snacks that are easy to eat I guess.

That is awesome! I hope they get a replica mount done for him. Hopefully he did well in the tourney too!

Fished a sandpit from the shore on Sunday...threw NED the entire time...caught seven LMB's in the 2-3lb range.

 

I don't know what they like about the NED rig, but it just works!

What he caught it on isn't the interesting part to me.  The fact that he was on big fish two days in a row does.  Nice job grinding out a good spot.
