After fishing last weekend I was bummed out when I discovered I was going to have to work this coming weekend.  The 2" of snow and the blast of cold we are going to get this weekend is making it easier to take.

85% chance of our first 50 degree day here next week in 2022, and a 25% chance at 60.  Spring is coming!

wed highs

need more snow, at the least 1 more big one or i will trade that for a wet spring. Ya know for the water levels and of course the farmers.

I was just going to ask you how much snow you've received up there.  I know its above average.  But you and I both needed an EPIC amount to make a dent in the drought and I don't think that's happened.  Northeast MN near Grand Marais has received over 45 inches more snow than average so at least one area is making up for it.

Either way, hoping for a wet spring.

It's as if the weather shifted one month this year.  Feels more like February than March.  Had snow flurries a few days ago, and frost every morning this week.  Usually that all goes away by the end of February.

We got about 3” , that might be the most we’ve had at one time this winter. Temp was upper 60 yesterday I think. It even blew up under the covered dog porch. I wish I was going snow fishing! Busy all day 0-F0-DB997-4-BBE-4645-9-FE0-C4-BC07458-B

I think we're seeing the tail end of it. Woke up this morning to -4 - but starting tomorrow highs will be in the 40s and 50s with night-time lows near or above freezing.

my wifes gonna miss the cold, she likes winter more than summer. She is a philipina and seen snow for the first time in her life in 2019 when we moved from the philippines to the U.S.

My family moved from California to Minnesota in 1991 and the first time I saw snow was October 1991, during the infamous Halloween blizzard. 3 feet of snow. I was just a kid and I asked if it was going to be there tomorrow.

I grew up in Massachusetts, moved to Minnesota in '74....I've never spent a winter out of the snow belt.

South Florida is getting a cold front now and the temperature might drop to the low 50's. It must be exceptionally cold up North for South Florida to get a low 50's night in Mid March. Good thing it only takes a day or 2 for the temperature to be in the 80's again.

All this cold is like a relentless hangover,

without the red eyes and bad breath I mean.
