This whole deal is heading in the WRONG Direction ~

This morning we have temperatures in the single digits and wind chills just into negative temperatures.  A steady & most unwelcome lake effect snow over night is expected to diminish through the day.

May be an image of snow, sky and text

Agreed ~

And my mood is mostly built on impatience rather than frustration.

So close and yet so far.

Little cold snap coming in for tomorrow...Low of 20* - High of 32*.

So glad I took the hard top off the jeep and put on the soft top. Gonna be a cold ride to and from work tomorrow ... :others-153:

20* here right now and a dusting of snow yesterday.

This next week is a return to early winter.

Highs in the 30s and 40s, lows at or below freezing - and a good chance of snow too.

No frost last night, but we had a freeze.  Going to play heck with some of the plants that have started to bloom.

Just got home to Virginia after a week in Florida in shorts, a weekend in savannah in shorts and when we hit the exit on 95 north yesterday to head the last hour of an 8 hour drive home, we went through a snow//sleet squall.  I’m not gonna warm up for a few days.  ?

Last spring’s record early start may not have helped either. If I remember correctly you said you were fishing in March, which is the first time that’s ever happened.

Yup ~

I want to say that I'm 'trying' to be realistic about this year,

But I'm probably not really trying hard enough.

So there's a lot of crying going on . . .

Time to head south for a bit.

Lol, believe it or not South Florida is still getting decent cold fronts. It was in the low 60's this morning, the afternoon was in the 80's which was nice. The 2010 cold fronts where stronger but I feel this Winter had more cold fronts than 2010. We had a day that the high temperature was in the high 80's and then dropped to 50 degrees at night. On a related subject, the Conger ice shelf in Antartica recently disintegrated since the weather has been 40 degrees warmer than usual.

Most of the winters here in the last decade have been on the milder side so an "average" one feels a lot different.  Last winter was almost non-existent other than 2 cold weeks in February.  I hope it means that summer isn't sweltering hot and dry like last year.  That was completely miserable.

Seems like the weather has gotten more drastic compared to the past. There was a day this week that the high was around 87-88 degrees and the low was 50 degrees. Ice that should not be melting is melting in Antarctica and the North Pole. There are certain parts of the World that has had worse floods than before. Other places with droughts. You can research this online if you like, the fact is the weather is changing. I can only imagine what type of weather future generations are going to deal with.

Middle of March fooled me, shut the wood furnace down, connected all the garden hoses, started the mower, hedge trimmers on standby. Lol

Um......13* tonight.

My biggest concern is water temps ?

Lol, wife already giving me a hard time, heat pump screaming.

i was wrong about no precip a few days ago, Fargo nd recieved 3 inches and the detroit lakes minn area 5 to 8" of wet snow. Just hoping that the lake levels will recover at least 50% from normal highs.

That is my hope too. Every drop of rain or snowflake that falls helps with the drought.

Had a redfish guide booked today and the winds were so high he cancelled. :(
