With the big boat already put away for the winter, of course we have had some lovely, warm and dry weather here the last several days.
Got the mower out one last time and gave the yard a good haircut, and mulched up all the leaves while they were nice and dry. Sure is nice at our new place for leaves, very few and they’re all pretty small so I can mulch em all up in one pass.
Take that, stupid leaf rake!

Not really a surprise ~

May be an image of ‎text that says '‎OV ا Snow Returns This Week Lake effect rain showers are expected to mix with or change to snow at times. Interior higher terrain of northern Lower and eastern Upper may see light accumulations. NATIONAL NN WEATHER SERVICE weather.gov/gaylord Driving Reminders: Leave extra distance between you and the next car. •Apply brakes gently and sooner than you normally would. Headlights on So others can see you!‎'‎

Just a heads up: lake effect snow is on the horizon for the upcoming week,

especially inland over A-Jay's house, as well as portions of eastern upper Michigan.

Some generally accumulations are expected.

Here we go.

Raking and bagging leaves does get old.  But at least there's an end to it after all the leaves have fallen.  I mulch most of mine too but one area is really matted from a large maple on the property line and I have to rake and bag those.

Just finished draining all the garden hoses and winterizing the RV. Lol

Away to deer camp for 2 weeks and if weather permits, back on the water in December but have to at least have mid day temps into the 50's.......not impossible here.

Thank heavens we have the hot side of lake Anna to take us through the winter.  As long as we can get there we can fish it.   There’s just something magical about throwing a top water in a snowstorm. ?

I want some of that down here to slow things down.

I'll see what I can do ~ No promises though.

On a good timing note, I emptied out & clean up the storage compartments in the Lund today.

Heading to the dealer after this mess blows through.

ProXS is getting the 3 year and  hull is getting new trolling motor batteries.

Cha-Ching !

We stay off the hot side until it gets too cold for our regular water.   When I was guiding on the public/cold side (I only guided homeowners that lived on the private/hot side) I would have the marina break the skim ice in a path so I could get to the main lake. ??

Bring on the cold. My paycheck increases during temperature extremes. Been a very good year so far.

Mine decreases the colder it gets.

Woke up to the first actual snow on the ground today. It was all gone by about 1:00 when the sun came out. As a bass fisherman, it isn’t a nice sight, but as a deer hunter, it was a lovely thing to see. If it only showed up for two weeks in November, then was gone for the rest of the year, that’d be just about perfect for me.

I agree.  Our firearms opener is in 3 days and its not looking good as the forecasted highs on Sat & Sun is near 60.  That's too warm.

Bring on the cold, I'm about ready for ice fishing.  Am I the only one who ice fishes on here?  Seems like almost everyone from northern climates on here don't transition to the hard water but just call it a year until ice out.

I've only been a few times and I don't have my own gear. I just wait it out for the open water season. Ice fishing is popular here too but I would still say most anglers here are like me.

Dude!!!! Holy crap. We’ve seen a few flurries down here yesterday and I said thank you A-Jay for sending me some. Little did I know you were getting absolutely dumped on.

I am not a fan of sitting on an ice cube fishing through a hole freezing my arse off.
