Second thread on Butch Brown LA Times article this week.

Butch told me the 5 bass limit he posted was in response to naysayers on the Texas boards harassing him constantly. The photo ended all that!

Somebody should forward this to Randy Blaukat, he said he never heard of Butch Brown

he has little tiny boat, he modified it with few batteries because the lake he fishing is no gas Motor allow.

he said his boat either going to hall of fame or he going to cut it from middle and hang it to the wall.

Thanks for the link.

My name isn't randy, but i have never heard of Butch before either. I have caught WAY more double digits than this guy...(inches, not weight)  Thanks for sharing the vid.     :fishing-026:

Who's Randy Blaukat? ?

Butch is a very humble gentleman  and a good saltwater fisherman.  I am lucky I've got to meet and fish with him although it was on the ocean.

Butch caught 2 Yellowfin the same day over 300 lbs. Few tuna anglers have caught 300 lb Yellowfin in their lifetime!

Incredible angler.

He has a full size bass boat for when he's not fishing the lagoon. That little Alumacraft has very little freeboard and would be treacherous even on windy days on the 180 acre lagoon, not to mention the upper lake at Castaic.

Also, if you watch the end of the video, you can see just how fast he can go with the electric motor he has on it. He regularly gets reported for 'using his gas powered motor' on the electric-only lagoon.

When people call it in, the first question they are asked is "Is it a little black boat?" When they say "yes", they are then informed "It's OK, that's Butch Brown, and he's running an electric outboard." LOL.

If, as Randy claims, Randy spent as much time hanging out with Aaron Martens as he says he did, I have a hard time believing that he hasn't heard of Butch Brown.

Wow, pulling a Mariah is not a good look for Rodney Blaupunkt

I've only learned about Butch fairly recently through his designs for Deps, but I do live an ocean away. He sounds like the real deal.

Clickbait, clickbait, clickbait.  When will you guys learn?  Everything coming from Randy is all very contrived.  Just hit the ignore button and move on.

Watched it the day it came out.  The guy is awesome and a truly amazing angler.

Also, I take Randy with a grain of salt.  I like his videos and take from them what I want.  He was a good angler but it appears he is in a position to make more money from videos than tournament fishing.
