Dee Thomas passed away from heart failure. 

Dee was a gentleman who gave bass fishing the flipping presentation and remained low key enjoying local Delta bass fishing.

Kent Brown did a really nice memorial to Dee on his radio show last Saturday with Ish Monroe, Gary Klien, and Hank Parker.... it was a really good listen..... can go to the link and listen to the show from 7/23/22. I think a lot of people don't realize the influence Dee had on our sport.

Unfortunately the turn out was about 50 people mostly local church folks and some old bass anglers. The industry didn’t turn out, the several pros Dee tutored and competed against were no shows so the memorial stories mostly were missing.

I didn’t make it and feel sad.

I was surprised too Tom... I know a few guys are on tour or out of state but there are ALOT of guys within 100 miles that don't have much of an excuse.... I never knew the man personally .... friends of friends, etc and I considered going but with my health issues it just wasn't possible. Sad for his family.

Most notable would be Gary Klein, he owes his carrier to Dee!

Dave Gleibe is another, so many other so disappointed.
