Apparently even though its 85 degrees here today, winter isn't over yet.  There is a chance of snow in the forecast on Sunday.

Why does this not surprise me?

Right - other than the 4 years in Omaha courtesy of the USAF, I've been in MN for 49 years.

  • Man that looks so comfy too ~ Not Familiar with winter ? OK, so it's pretty intense. Sort of like mudslides, wild fires, earth quakes, sink holes, flash floods and even land sides.

Same here for last night and all day today. Our power went out about 9:30 last night, crazy winds here. Still off now. I had to snowblow a trail from the barn to the house just to drag the generator o

Still waiting for full open water on Tonka - shot of Cook's Bay when I was on an errand this morning.

We are skipping spring here in VA.

Ran AC all week, finding mushrooms, lakes are turning over and bass are hitting top water.

Dang really?! Seems like we skipped spring and went right to temps in the 80s while you guys are still in winter. What weird weather.

Worse part?

3 days ago we were at 88 for the official high and my yard was totally clear of snow.

Oh wow so you guys got the heat wave that we did. Next week is back to more spring like weather but nothing cold enough for snow.

Yup, lower 80’s for three days. Tomorrow high of 38 and lows in the mid 20’s.

Pretty typical - a day or two after we get something, either you or @A-Jay or both get it.

It was warm here this past week. Several days in the 80’s. A massive change occurred yesterday, it was an all day rain out and overnight it changed to snow.

The ducks, robins, and buds on the trees are very confused this morning.

Just saw where the governor of Michigan declared a state of emergency to 2 counties in the UP of Michigan.  Seems warm temps and snow melt have caused severe flooding.

You hit 88 and fargo nd never hit 50. The weekend has been cold and windy sittin at 43 now with 33mph winds.

The red river is still iced over other than the dam spillway where i see people fishing for walleye spawn.

I am pretty sure that Duluth surpassed their all time record too.  As of 7pm last night, they were at 135.1 inches, and their all time record is 135.4 inches.  They have official records back to 1941 at the Duluth airport.
