$4.99 ain’t a bad price. Pretty decent colors too.

Yep...and while I haven't used these new cranks yet, the Freedom Tackle spinners are good quality.

I’m assuming at that price the hardware definitely needs to be upgraded.

6poundbass finally got on the board using the crank and I managed one on the lipless. Today was tough sledding, wind out of the east, water was a mess. They’ll be in the regular rotation so more to come.

I’ve got 4. So far I’ve been using the third one on the right. It’s got an ultra aggressive action, very wide wobble and runs super shallow. It also casts like a rocket. I’m not certain but I believe there’s a weight transfer inside. I can hear it click when it zooms by my head on the cast, at first I kept thinking I was slapping my co anglers hat bill with it when I heard the click! Haha. I’ve never used a bait with a weight transfer so I’m guessing that’s what the sound is. I’m not too good of a crankbait fisherman but I can typically do some damage trolling them, going to try that very soon with the deeper running one IMG-0446.jpg

We’re loving the action on the square bill. I was pretty bummed we didn’t have any takers on it yet but that’s entirely user error! ? In my defense I could use the excuse the wind was out of the east the whole weekend and we know how the saying goes.

I would suggest upgrading the hooks. They're very sharp, but not the strongest and seem a little smaller than what should be on the baits.

Our lakes are low and very clear, not great for cranks, but I managed to catch a few on the squarebill this weekend. The action reminds me somewhat of a Mann's 1- that runs a couple feet deep.

Today I threw the the 3.0 a decent amount for the first time. It was hitting the bottom in about 5 feet of water on 15 lb seaguar fluoro. This bait is lighter than the 1.5 squarebill and I don’t think there’s a weight transfer, I didn’t hear the click sound when throwing it. Its got a much tighter wiggle and I’m guessing would work better when the fish are being a tad more finicky

I got a chance to fish a bit Wednesday evening, life keeps interfering……….

but I threw the 3.0 crankbait for a while again. This time I had it on 12 lb mono and it was pulling up grass off the bottom in 6 feet of water. I haven’t tuned the bait at all and it seems to run dead straight almost every throw and achieve it’s maximum depth. I caught a couple dinks but I think the fish were feeding on the surface and I was rooting down in the bottom grass. It was nice to fish a big shallow flat in the river  just to see how deep it would go on a consistent basis, I’m thinking 5-6 feet.

It's hard to get that quality and color at that price!ABWXJTKRadCranks-6457-insta.jpg

That bright red accented color would be promising in prespawn ?

I picked up one, the square bill model.  I would not class it as a square bill, more of a flat side.  The body shape is very very similar to a Luhr Jensen Speed Trap and is In between the 1/8 and 1/4 ounce size which is very nice.  It comes stock with  size 8 hooks.  I swapped them for. KVD 6’s and that is a better fit.      Decent little bait.
