hot dogs

Zenners all beef.  Must have finely chopped Walla Walla sweet onions, and stone ground mustard.

If there was no bun my wife would be leading the pack here...but she is pretty anticarb so that would slow her down.  As for me, I have zero desire but could easily slam down 1 a minute for 10.  That would be pretty much at a brick wall then though.

The record is 76 dogs in 10 minutes, held by Chestnut.

76!? Can you imagine eating 7-8 hot dogs a minute? That's just crazy talk.

I'm not sure I want to be a toilet in the next couple of hours after that. :fart:

After the contest is over, I wonder what the contestants do behind the scenes. They could force themselves to puke it all up. Yuch!

Apparently that’s what they do, but there’s a 30 minute time requirement for holding it down after the competition ends. Rumor has it that is why all their teeth are messed up

I was wondering when you'd chime in @TnRiver46 considering this was a food thread.  Since you're all in on burgers I imagine you're all in hot dogs too?

Had one yesterday with two burgers.

can’t watch that contest without dry heaving tho

My limit is 3 in ten min. or 1 hr, doesn't matter. Preferably with grill marks, mustard , chopped vedalia onions, and sometimes american cheese. I'll eat a coney, but not as much. Peppers and relish on a dog is never happening.

i only eat a Costco Hotdog every once in a while.  3 a year maybe.  it is usally because i am mentally weak from the hunger of buying in bulk.

i dont LOVE hotdogs to begin with.  my friends dad managed the Peyton meat company in El Paso.  the horror stories really stuck with me.  they are good tasting, but not GREAT tasting to me.  if i am gonna treat my body like that, it needs to taste better.  :D

I like hot dogs, but only grilled with enough char that most anyone else calls "burnt".  Might could do 3 or 4 in such a contest.

A little disgusting, maybe.  But I have a weird fascination...or at least, respect, for Chestnut (and Kobayashi and Sudo).

You don't get to such a dominant position without dedication...and I suppose, a lot of practice?

These aren't the 480 pound guys and gals you see at Golden Corral.....now that can get pretty nauseating if you sit too close
