riverat
 I too am going to fish something on the bottom. I'm going to have a jig with a Gene Larew craw worm trailer, Texas rigged flipping tube, and another Texas rigged plastic such as an Ultra-Vibe Speed Craw, craw worm, or plastic worm on the deck and will cycle through these throughout the day to find what the fish prefer that day.  I'll also have a spinnerbait on the deck because I have so much confidence in it.  This approach only changes in the summertime when I fish docks on Mississippi River oxbow lakes. For this type of cover I'm going to be throwing a Bagley DB 2 and skipping a jig.

btoups
Junk.  One because I'm not very good. Lol. Second, I like to try new things and get bored of catching fish on the same thing all day so I like to see what else they may bite on. I have all these rods and reels in my boat so I want to at least use them a little. If I had to pick one technique it would be any type of moving bait. I enjoy casting a reeling moving baits more than bottom style fishing, but I'll do whatever works to get bites.
Super User Mobasser Posted January 19 Super User Share Posted January 19 My fishing style in as few words as possible? Small clear lake. Beautiful place. Canoe. Two rods. Small tackle box. Plastic worm- mostly. Alone in a quiet laid back place. Yes, I love it.

Now I'm wondering if I'm a junker too. A sneaky junker.  16 minutes ago, Mobasser said: My fishing style in as few words as possible? Small clear lake. Beautiful place. Canoe. Two rods. Super User WRB Posted January 19 Super User Share Posted January 19 Analytical If you what to know my style read Cosmic Clock and Bass Calendar. I want to know where the bass are located during each seasonal period to eliminate as much unproductive water prior to starting to fish. Location, location, location then selecting the right lure at the right time has worked for me for decades. I also like to get in touch with the rhythm of the environment described in my Cosmic Clock and Bass Calendar by simply looking at, listening to and feeling life around me. This isn’t easy to do with the distractions on public lakes and one reason fishing weekdays and light rain tends to quite down everything. GRiver
I think I’m a fun fisherman. I enjoy the whole aspect of fishing. The casting, the accuracy, the different tackle, rods and reels. The fact that I’m out there, if stopping and enjoying everything around me is what is called for, then I do that.  If I hit into a school and I have to hit it hard and fast for as long as there biting, then that’s what I do. Guess I fish the situations as the need arises to get the job done.

Alex Ball
Bigs.      I fish big baits on big H power rods. I'm a bank guy. I want 1 4-5lber. I'll gladly take being skunked over being in a dink fest. Big baits, big fish. I'm out there for the combat element of it. Me vs. a dinosaur. Who wins? That's why I do it.

rgasr63
Plastic man If someone asked me what I fish with most of the time it would be a soft plastic. I think that I really would rather fish cover with a plastic worm or craw than most anything else.

Way north bass guy
Here, there, and everywhere.  One day I might be tossing frogs in the thick stuff for largemouths, next trip could be in the river behind my house cruising quietly in the canoe for a mixed bag of bass, next could be way out on Georgian Bay, almost out of sight of land, with nothing but big fat smallmouth underneath me and not another person in sight.  It’s all good!
