LOL! I kind of wish it hadn't because I'm getting over-run with too many rods!

I will try to take some pics tonight. Have a hard time getting my new phone to take pictures small enough to attach.

Well,... THAT was a pain! My new phone is a Google Pixel 9 Pro and has a great camera, but in their infinite wisdom, they decided to omit a way to resize pictures. I searched all over for any advice to do it and,... Nope! Everyone says they just don't let you. I hate adding unknown apps and dealing with ads and stuff, so I had to send the picture to home computer, resize with MS Paint, then send back to phone!! 😕😕

But here they are. I really like the colors and details of these rods, but it appears they are done. Tried to look up their website to get the rod descriptions but it wouldn't load.

The TDZ looks like it has seen better days, but it smooth as butter. Thought about repainting as I've seen others do, but haven't gotten around to it, and it fishes well!!

Yeah that's like full blown Rambo stuff right there!

Something nicer to look at than clips of emails. TW delivered the Icon 7L yesterday, Digitaka delivered the 2025 SLX BFS today. Much shinier and completely monochromatic compared to the previous version.

First impressions of the 7' light?

It's definitely softer and a little more moderate in the tip compared to the Dobyns 701, I can see why the tb guys love it for the karashi in that respect.

Outside of karashis, what other baits do you think it would accel at?

Baby pop x, dog x coayu(sp?) tiny jerks/cranks pretty much any moving treble bfs. I'll test my usual 1/16 #2 crappie head but just whipping it compared to the Dobyns it might be a little soft for single hooks. But that's where the 701 and 610ml play.

Not Bass related but….I’ve been a trout spinning angler my whole life but lost touch with it the last 5-6 years chasing bass.  A friend is dragging me back in so I took a BFS setup out last week since I am now experienced with baitcasters and played pseudo guide.  I found some advantages but no negatives and had fun! so I thought I would buy a rod for future outings that was a little better suited.

Shimano 24 B54UL Trout One NS. It is exactly what I thought it would be, a mini Expride B. Can’t wait to give this a go. I paired it with my Aldebaran BFS.

Let us all know how it fishes.  I was looking hard at that rod but the weight turned me off.

It doesn’t feel heavy. It’s better balanced w the carbon grip than the original Evergreen combat was..

It’s an amazing caster and unbelievable on feel..

I've been using glass for deep cranking for years. I can’t be 100% but I’m pretty sure this is a Daiwa rod. Reel seat is likely Zaion, craftsmanship is superb, made in China. My first glass rod was also Daiwa, it was a beautiful rod also and fishing it was a joy.. I use a Loomis IMX CBR Pro-blue for Lucky Craft BDS 2 up to size 6 in the spring time shallows..

The Evergreen will handle a large Colorado or Indiana blade easily as well. Rick Clunn used glass w spinner bait during both his St. John’s river wins. 2016-2019.

@HawkeyeSmallie Tried to answer you but it’s in moderator airspace for some reason.

New reel day, got a stupid good deal on it NIB, so I couldn't pass it up. Spooled it up with 15lb fluoro and threw it on my jig rod. Really want to try the new 150M, but lefties won't be out for a couple of months and I paid under 140 for this one so I figured why not snag another one as I've been very happy with my others.

Have an SLX 70 that I also got for a steal NIB that should be here Saturday.

If you insist. Slowly been going through and upgrading my SLX reels. Excellent reels at their price point, and responsible for my personal best and many plus-sized bass, but once I tried out the Curado 150 there was no going back. Only ones that will stay are the SLX 70s. Doesn't hurt to get a deal on them, either. Picked up a Curado K right when the Ms were dropping for 108 brand new so threw that one on my frog rod.

Not sure if I want to try to recoup a little bit and sell the SLXs used or burn through them as inshore reels until I get a Tranx. Might just give them to some buddies, they're still in great shape.

What ever you do Aaron,

Do not try the newer Bantam, Metanium or Diawa Zillion.  Trust me on this.

The Metanium was on my radar recently, but ended up passing. I'm sure it would result in another round of upgrades if I did. 😅
