only one color of topwater . . .

Featured Replies

I'll buck the system and say no color or clear.  I've had good luck with various clear topwater lures over the years.

Bone; It'll look good for a frog belly, on a plopper, on a jitterbug(black is my favorite there), on a popper, and on a walking bait.

Bone…or maybe chrome black back.  Wait, wait….. clear, no, baby bass…. Yea, yea…. Black, or even a Shad color….. really blue-chrome…..give me a minute, I’ll get it.

Might be why I have so many.

My best topwater is a bluegill Rapala Skitterwalk, hands down.

Silver with a black back.
Buzz would have to be black also.
