I’m still scratching my head as to why the Bills decided to go for the 2 point conversion 🤔

Shootout in San Fran....

Allen missed by a mile 😔

The way that the Bills defense was playing......gift 🎁

With the win, the 49ers have a chance to secure the NFCs top seed should they beat Seattle next week at home.  That would send the Seahawks to the 5 seed.

Bears could be the 2 or 3 seed.  If they lose to the Lions and Philly beats the Commanders, the Bears drop and the Eagles pass them.

This is very important because the 2 seed will host the Packers, and the 3 seed will host...the Rams.  Woof.  No offense to the team from Wisconsin, but the Rams are a much tougher opponent.  It is downright mind boggling to me that a team of the Rams caliber is going to be the 6 seed.

Totally agree!

I don’t care if they take offense or not 😜

No self respecting Bear fan will pass on

any opportunity to knock “That team from Wisconsin” out of anything

Also, if you are the 2 seed, you are guaranteed a second home game in the divisional round (if you win in the wild card round).  So there's that too.

Well the Bears are due, Way over due. That way they can stop talking about the 85 Bears 😂

@12poundbass @Jigfishn10

Yeah, that was a rough game. I think if we had a healthy

Ed Oliver and Dalton Kincaid, we'd have pulled a W out of

that one. Josh didn't look good. Felt like he was playing

safe on the injured ankle and it affected his play.

But that said, I think he could have run it in on the 2 pt

conversion. Defense was stout the whole game for the

most part.

Now we just have a gauntlet ahead of us instead of a

possible higher seeding.

Great game and playoff atmosphere in Santa Clara with Purdy spotting the visitors a TD with that first play pick six. Both QBs slinging the ball around the yard piling up yards and points resulting in five ties. It was good to see the Niners defense to show up when it mattered most and force an incompletion to end the game.

Next up is another home game on *Saturday evening against Seattle to determine the Western Conference champion and the #1 seed in the playoffs.

*The NFL decided to move this game with the two best teams in the NFC and arguably the league to Saturday and treat the country to two .500 teams in the Ravens v Steelers on Sunday night as the season finale? SMH, logic of the day I guess.

Go Niners!

I wasn’t accurate enough?

Honestly I think a win and in situation is higher stakes than winning the top seed.  Both the sea chickens and niners are going to play in the post season already.

The Steelers-Ravens winner continues, whereas the other heads to the golf course.  That's just my theory why they chose that game for SNF.

Nah…happy the Pats are doing well this year, I never, ever said they were one of the best teams in the league.

Well said @Jigfishn10 and you play the games on the schedule. In the Niners case, I’m just glad Mac is our QB2.

I think @gim for a moment had the conferences mixed up. Disrespecting the NFC West by saying Saturday evening time slot is was reasonable then not promoting the Minn v Green Bay game as a Sunday night season finale replacement. And what’s with mentioning “heads to the golf course” on a bass fishing site?

Lol the Vikings packers game definitely should not be a national telecast. The packers are riddled with injuries and the Vikings have a deer in the headlights rookie at the helm. Not exactly must see tv.

I’m glad he’s finally got some good coaching. His year with Josh McDaniels was great. It was actually the last time the Pats were in the tournament, I believe. Then Josh left and so did Mac’s career.

Until this year

Yep, the NFL thinks it's a west coast only audience...nevermind the Rams/Hawks game had the highest TNF audience on record.  But, it's the east coast sports mentality (Cal Raleigh anyone?). SMH

  • Super User

The west coast games in the NFL are all adjusted to start at an earlier time, so the rest of the country can view them.  If they started at a normal time for a night game, it would be 10pm on the east coast.

The other sports don't do this nearly as often.  Most of the NBA, NHL, and MLB games during the regular season start at local time.

Case in point on the most recent SNF.  Santa Clara local start time 5:20pm.
